Latter day Trevor Hockey, just a pity we do not have the rest of that team

Good point. So next on the shopping list:Can only imagine Hecky and the recruitment team looked at the way city walked through us at Wembley and thought ‘we could do with someone who can put a tackle in’.
I’ve no problem spending on someone who’s exceptional at one area of the game. If he can tackle and give it to someone to do something with that’s fine with me
OsbourneSounds like another Trevor Hockey ( for us oldies ) only trouble is he won the ball and gave it to Currie dont know who this lad will give it to.
Were we are selling anybody with pulse will doSounds like another Trevor Hockey ( for us oldies ) only trouble is he won the ball and gave it to Currie dont know who this lad will give it to.
He is. Trouble is he’s also been told Souza has signed but we’ve since accepted a bid from Luton.I just hope Hecky is aware that this lad is having a medical and about to sign for us![]()

Who?To Bergs old song
And the View from Brentford on Egan too. Both JE and JOC have been immense players for us.I’m not suggesting that it’s a final judgement, but you’ve expressed a judgement nevertheless.
Putting semantics aside, you’ve dived in on virtually no evidence, and taken the trouble to express a negative view on the player, prefacing your comments with “is it just me”, in a clear invitation to draw other flies in to the steaming turd ( with some success) and gain some momentum on this theme.
That’s what bothers me. I have no idea of your posting history, and have no axe to grind with you, but I’ve grown sick and tired of the many efforts on this forum to create feeding frenzies of negativity on topics for which there is little or no actual evidence, and have chosen this one as a vehicle for venting my frustration ( sorry).
It’s almost if people are enjoying this. I have a horrible image of the swarm of flies buzzing in anticipation of the deposit of the “View from”, in the event that we even manage to land this player - it promises to be the worst ever apparently ( rubs hands with glee). I suggest that those folk revisit the View from Brentford on JOC, or even his early performances for the Blades, and think about the value of reserving judgement until there is at least a reasonable body of evidence on which to base it.
Up the Blades.
Defensive numbers yes..... Offence is a completely different story. His data is very similar to one of the best DM’s in the league last season, Joao Palhinha.
To be fair the lad looks very athletic ,and loves a tackle what's not to like ,and another 6.1 player
Well he’s a defensive midfielder so that will explain itDefensive numbers yes..... Offence is a completely different story.
Even David Frain put more oomph into a tackle.Berge for all his talent has a heart the size of a pea, the timing is awful but no great loss…
People saying "but he's not creative" - how exactly do you propose our actual creative players do anything if we have nobody in midfield who can win possession?
