Surely the objective of signing him would be to improve the team from its current position, by bringing in something that we are currently missing from the side. We can then recruit other people that can do other things, such as providing attacking flair.
We won’t be recruiting another Ndaiye for a long time, but we can still improve the team. Neither would I ever want Ndaiye to become a “forgotten man” - upset as I was at the circumstances of his departure, he has provided me with some wonderful memories.
It's just the way it was put makes me think certain posters were expecting a completely different style of player to the one we're getting. I'm also not sure spending such a huge chunk of of meagre finances on an enforce when we're so lacking in creativity and goal threat is a great idea, but that's a separate argument.
