Team for Satdi

Going slightly off topic but going by the names being linked (assuming we get them in) I reckon come September 1st our starting lineup could look something like this.

3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1 (with a front three similar to how we set up last season with Ndiaye, Mcburnie, Mcatee)

Wes
Anel, Egan, Trusty
Baldock, Souza, Slimane*, Lowe*
Traore, Osula*, Akpom

Obviously we'll have players who are yet to come back from injury and have either signed or could sign which could change this lineup.

Slimane/O'Brien/Doyle/Norwood/Brooks

Osula/Mcburnie/Jebbison/Brewster/Akpom

Lowe/Larouci/RND (when he comes back)

Could see it being this - not something I'd want but not sure what other options we have

Only included him because he's being heavily linked with us. Since I was basing it off what our squad could look like at the end of window I decided to include players that we are being strongly linked with.

Yeah, i haven't seen it properly reported, just a line in one of the star articles (about Flecks injury) making reference to how Jebbo and Mcburnie are currently injured.

Yeah, I've heard that as well. Problem is some say he's signing a new contract while others say he's leaving so I'm not entirely sure what to believe. I'm just including him in my possible starting 11 on the basis that he might end up signing for us.

Is that the behind closed doors friendly that we played the other day, I think Trusty played in that game as well.

Problem is I can't find any mentions of the game apart from a few tweets.

Took some digging but finally found some of the tweets, don't know for definite if Brewster did play in it or not. Apparently he didn't.

Watching him in pre season, he looks miles off it. He might come good eventually as he learns the system and we ease him in, but currently he should be nowhere near a starting place.
 
Osula has gone from 5th choice striker vs West Brom (promotion game) to our only for the first game of the next season is interesting

  • I'd hold off on Trusty, lets ease him into the team because Robinson is solid
  • I'll play Larouci because I refuse to play Lowe when we have other warm bodies available
  • Those are our 3 fit midfielders
  • Those are our 2 fit strikers.

Oh more than likely not, but if he's fit I feel right now I'd rather have him start over Osula, and then bring on Osula 2nd half

He hasn't even trained with the other players yet?

Danny Hall (not sure how accurate he is) has said today Brewster has returned to full training, and that McBurnie is to return to training this week (hopefully)

But the alternative is an unproven Osula. Would rather test Brewster for 45 and maybe McBurnie (who will be pretty close to match fit as he played some of preseason)

Can't find where I saw it, but after more digging myself it looks like it was a load of SWFC (shit for the less posh people)
 
Thinks are that bad that Lowe is getting in nearly everybody’s team, unbelievable,,,,

And lose them for the rest of the season!??
Then all were left with is an unproven Osula!
