Won’t happen, McAtee destined for bigger clubs than us as is Palner though as you say a loan would be good. Can see Doyle becoming a midfield general in one of the top 6-8 PL or European clubs. He will have a long steady career

If we had a choice, I'd personally take Palmer. Palmer will be better suited to a team playing on the counter a lot, whereas I think Macca suits a possession-based team.

I think he's referring to how Mcatee seems to be staying put at City even though there are quite a few clubs chasing him, whereas Palmer looks like he is most likely going somewhere on loan for this season.

i think of the 2 i would prefer palmer as hes had some premier league game time under his belt my point was that it has been reported that mcatee wouldnt be going out on loan this season but we will see either of them will improve our first 11

The issue wasn't with those up front, it was getting the ball to them without resorting to hoofwaffe.

That would be more in line with expectations.

As for Nixon, I do think he has an inside line on us. That's not to say all of his information will always be correct, but that it has come from somewhere close to things.

A few days ago he basically laughed at the idea of us signing VS; saying he didn't think it was possible. How good an inside line must he have?
