I don’t think Burnley will be anywhere near as successful as people think. We threw the second game away ourselves but when they played us last season there was nothing in it. If anything we had more bite.

I thought Kompany might get special treatment off City and the likes of Palmer etc would already be at Burnley on loan but seems it’s not the case.

Burnley remind me a little of when Norwich came up.
They played an open attacking game and their fans thought they'd easily stay up and maybe even as high as top half.

They stuck to their principles, think Kompany will do the same, he'll be brave and play a pass and move attacking game.
If it works they'll be mid table, however there's a good chance they'll be far too open and they'll ship loads of goals.

Wouldn't surprise me if they do a Norwich and finish bottom losing 4-2 and 5-2 most weeks.
When they were in hot form, didn't they lose 6-0 to Man City in the cup last season? the reason is because they tried to take them on, how naive is that?
Expect them to win plenty of admirers, Kompany will get credit for trying to play the game the right way but he'll be naive and could struggle badly.

Conversely I expect us to be like a Jose Mourinho team, we won't look that good and are pretty negative (like we were last season), kind of parking the bus
but suspect Hecky will make us really difficult to beat. It won't be pretty to watch but I don't think we'll concede many.
However at present can't see us scoring many either.

I can see Souza and O'Brien coming in on permanents... Add Macca and or Palmer on loan and all of a sudden we got ourselves a fucking midfield!!!!
On a side note - after the Prince interview, I have a funny feeling Berge might be sold shortly....
O’Brien, Souza, Slimane

Probably look to sell Berge.

Whoever City don’t want behind whatever striker we have fit.

We’re almost beat deploying 5-4-1 until we can get the proper recruits in to play something more expansive.

Exactly my reasoning and thought process.

I'd like to think that we've accepted a bid for Berge because this one is already wrapped up, but this is United who are, and always have been, ran by fucking idiots

I’m hoping that as well! Surely we only finalise the Berge sale when we’ve already completed a signing.

No replacement signs, then it’s tough shit Burnley, the deal is off.

(No chance we’d do that obviously)

I wouldnt be surprised if we had a couple of players already agreed before agreeing this move, there is a lot of negativity out there, understandable

will be interesting to see what this squad looks like come Sept 1st

Will be a different story when this bloke shows up, boots a few into the stand and gets a 5 game ban in the first month.
Will also turn out he’s got zero calmness or quality on the ball and after every touch his second touch is also a tackle.

Can see it coming.

But it’s ok…we need some big nasty bastard to do the work for our quality players….oh wait…hang on…

He hasn’t chosen by all accounts. He’s been forced out. He has been told if he doesn’t leave he won’t play on Saturday

To which Sanders' response would be "fair enough."
