I have no idea how long multi million pound contracts involving more than two parties typically take to get sorted, so let's just say "a bit longer"?
Club says Ndiaye went in a flash which was so bright they couldn’t do anything about it

Burnley won't go down, we will 😂
Not addressed directly at you personally but didn't we have all the negativity after a couple of poor results last season regarding NGE, Boro will overtake us etc, did it happen? so why think after one poor friendly result and another couple of weeks of the window we can't do anything but be relegated with a record number of the lowest points total.

I reckon this is Hecky's main target, and whilst we may have got serious with our money as a salary offer, we'll get trumped by someone else. Our standing, and likelihood as a one season PL wonder will let us down.

Burnley got torn apart by Oli Mcburnie at the lane last year and shipped 5 and we're apparently the whipping boys now, saying they won't go down is just silly not saying they will but there's a bigger chance than a lot of the prem

I don’t think Burnley will be anywhere near as successful as people think. We threw the second game away ourselves but when they played us last season there was nothing in it. If anything we had more bite.

I thought Kompany might get special treatment off City and the likes of Palmer etc would already be at Burnley on loan but seems it’s not the case.

I think a lot of teams rolled over for them last year after the World cup, there are a lot of unproven players in that side and could simply sink at this level

Nixon reporting that we've made a concrete offer today, but a case of agreeing deal with player (who is playing us off against Burnley to get the best deal possible).

I guess we'll see who wants him more over the next few days.

But does raise the question why we didn't stump up last week when Ndiaye left, as Burnley were in talks with Lakonga from Arsenal at the time

Souza and Tilliman before Saturday.
O'Brien and Akpom just after.
Now THAT makes the midfield stronger.
And thats before the two Prem loans that could even be the City boys.

Would love that but think if we spend on Souza/Tillman/Akpom then we try and cover the other Cm spot with a free transfer (Davies)

I can see Souza and O'Brien coming in on permanents... Add Macca and or Palmer on loan and all of a sudden we got ourselves a fucking midfield!!!!
On a side note - after the Prince interview, I have a funny feeling Berge might be sold shortly....
Still need at least one striker though as well imo

Only allowed one player on loan from any one club. So it would be Palmer or McAtee..

If we intended to sign Doyle initially but have switched to Souza to play the same position, that is really quite a big change of plan for the midfield setup

We go from a playmaker in the middle to a ball winner

Could the plan be to play with 2 CMs and regularly field 3 attacking players ?
Personally 3-4-2-1
If we get this lad over line and either Doyle or obrien to drop with him in a centre 2
Berge and slimane
Traore if he's the end. Product
We've then got hopefully a team to at least compete
A cover central defender
Cos the snipers gone to OM
