Osula has missed some chances in pre-season, but last season in the under 23's he was scoring for fun, alongside Marsh, think he got quite a few hat-trick's.

Not 100%, but someone in Shoutbox mentioned something was "done" that might necessitate moving quickly on signings.
I guessed this was it and presume it's very advanced.

Tbf, have to assume Jebbison isn't coming to the table over a new deal so on this occasion our hands been forced.
We've messed his career about to date.
So long as the price is a decent one (c.£10m, sell-on etc.) its one we probably have to do.

Although, objectively, it's a really bad look for the club again.

Cant see it being for much
Everton are more skint than us ,maybe a swap deal for a maupay or someone

I’m not sure we’ve messed his career about that much. We pulled him back from a loan, one many on here we’re calling for, when in hindsight we ultimately didn’t need him.
Aside from that he’s had several chances that he’s not really taken, getting sent off against Wrexham really hit his own opportunities last season.
I’ve been constant in my opinion that he should have been out on loan for the past 3 seasons but his goal against Everton have seemingly given folk an over blown sense of where he actually is. He’s shown glimpses at best but he’s 19 and has so much time to develop but he shouldn’t be in a PL squad he’s simply not at that level or earned it.
If he won’t talk about a new deal then we have to sell if we’re getting bids around £10m.
Everton can pay him a wage he wouldn’t get with us and wait for him. Simply put, currently we can’t do either, so if he doesn’t want to develop with us and wants the salary then we have to wish him well and move on to players who want to be here.

If we can get £5m take it towards Obrian or Doyle. We don’t have the luxury of holding onto and developing assets unless there’s a wealth buyer next week.

Imho he's more likely to have a career like Jordan Slew rather than DLC, we need players who can help us NOW rather than maybe in 3 years time, we should absolutely sell him for whatever we can get, with a sell-on clause.

I’m not sure selling him allows us to buy players who can help us now. We can only buy prospects and gambles. So why not continue to invest in Jebbison? He’s a few good performances away from multiplying his value.

Moreover, it will be very hard to find a player to replace him, and we’d be selling to a relegation rival. It looks like another clusterfuck.

We need players now …..

There seems to be , imo, a blasé mindset that we are guaranteed to get promotion if and when we go down . Just think how bloody difficult it is to get promoted from the Championship. It’s unbelievably difficult and it could take years and years .

We have an opportunity to try to cement our place in the top league in the world yet we are behaving like we are already defeated and accepting failure . That is and always has been the Utd way - for gods sake please 🙏 Prince - don’t let this fantastic opportunity just pass us by

Tell you what if they dont get this window right it could have a really bad effect on the future and we go sliding all the way back to L1 very quickly, that team needs a player with spark that the others can feed off if you dont have one heads can drop very quickly.

and therein lies the problem at Sheffield United and even more so this year.

Everton have no money.

Just tell them to piss off.

If he’s got anywhere near the potential they think then he’s a 20m signing. Otherwise stop wasting our time trying to lowball us, unless they have someone we want.

So far after promotion we are running a transfer surplus which is ridiculous. The next move shouldn’t be to add to that surplus!

Because we’ve got ourselves in a position where we can’t play him this season and he’s unlikely to sign a deal within our structure as he can earn more elsewhere.

Unless we're exchanging for another youth this can't happen given Everton's notoriously high wage bill.
I’m sure there are a few we’d like to take from them if a swap can be done. Maupay? Holgate?

Do player exchanges ever happen?
Maupay and £4m?

Right now, I'd probably be inclined to take that deal though maybe a bit more money coming our way i.e. £7m etc. Not ideal as j would prefer to keep the kid but if he's not wanting to renew a contract then get rid now and take what we can get. Irritating though as again, getting him on a longer contract should have been sorted a while ago. We never seem to learn.

Seeing as a straightforward purchase is taking United for ever I can't see the completion of a player exchange taking place before the transfer window closes. (2 lots of player demands to satisfy).
