I'd like to know if Lowe is injured, really hope not because Larouci isn't ready. I know the bulk of the first team played in this match and not the one after but Trusty, Lowe and Norwood would have made a difference to todays performance, maybe there's others fit in the other match too like McBurnie and Jebbo. We know we're not at our best team yet. That is not ideal obviously, but we've got a reasonable start of fixtures to start with minus Man City. The intensity of the match will be totally different a week today in comparison to today's encounter. The fact Hecky split the teams means that he was more bothered about players playing 90 minutes than he was the result. I don't know if Stuggart did the same but I'm not going to worry too much on todays match, we know there's maybe 4 players coming in over the next few weeks and they're probably all going to be starters because we know that the best players we can get are often at the end of the window.

Of the new signings in so far, I reckon only Trusty will be a starter, Slimane and Traore on the bench and coming on as subs, Larouci will be on the bench also, I can't see him getting many minutes to be honest.

My concern right now is that we're not ready in terms of the squad but at the same token a couple of decent signings will make a big difference.

Good work out, it's only a friendly so it gave him the chance to try a few tactical things.
He's learnt a lot from it so it's been useful. He's hoping some new additions will arrive soon but he doesn't know when and he's not involved.
However him and his players are really looking forward to next week playing a strong Crystal Palace team.

How do you know this ?

Darren Smith, love him or dislike him, he said a week or so ago that we were trying with 5 and 3 are in advanced negotiations, so it'll be 4/5 to come in on that basis. He was spot on previously re recruitment of the guys in so far. Since selling Ndiaye, Hecky has said that it changes things money wise and we're able to spend from the sale of Ili. So we're not anywhere near where we will be come the end of the window, the problem is the season starts next week. I'd take a draw now v Palace!

Just heard that, phew! I was hoping we'd sign someone better than Lowe but I don't think Lowe will let us down either and we've got RND coming back eventually hence why we probably didn't go for a LWB that was going to be more expensive because we've got other areas more pressing.

I like JLT and his aggression. He had a cracking season one of the contenders for most improved player. Useful on the bench, not as a starter. Up against Prem level attackers he'd be a red card waiting to happen.
