McAtee was a 2nd part of the season bonus really. We had Ndiaye as the main creator and then McAtee came into his own. The season before it was the same with MGW and Ndiaye.

At the moment we don’t have any!

Loans will be coming in
But they will never be released until the last minute by their parent club

They will be match fit , as they will have been training with them pre season
But they will need to be blended in to our systems
If we manage to get Doyle or McAtee that would be a bonus as they know our systems

Match fitness and squad players aren’t normally something that go hand in hand. Whenever we’ve had loans in the past they’ve needed a month to get fit, unless it’s Ciaran Clark, he needed 50 mins to get injured!

100% mate. Our lack of creativity at the moment is giving me nightmares.
 
I really hope we sign this lad, or someone very similar, and very quickly. We won't get away without a proper midfield enforcer this season. When we last got promoted, Fleck, Norwood and Lunny had enough energy and athleticism to make us solid, but we don't have that luxury now.

This lad, Berge and Slimane in a three might just do the business.

Agree with the comments above though, we absolutely need a couple of creative players too.

Who knows. If this guy does come in, maybe McBurnie can do the job he’s paid for? Instead of covering, tracking back to cover for missing midfielders or covering defensive duties. ;)
 
I'm not sure how much Jimmy from Blades Ramble actually knows, but he seemed to be saying that this would be our Marquee signing if we got him. To me that means that out of all of our targets, he's the one we're spending the most cash on. Will we spend most of our cash on an enforcer? I know we certainly need one, but there must be lots of cheaper options out there.

Yeah but it depends how accurate the price reports are, and what his resale value is. Could imagine this being an expensive one but not something I'd be against

Just wait and see where we are at end of window. If we get him, Tillman (for creativity) and Maitland-Niles alongside Trusty and Traore, we are beginning to shape up well.

I'm sure everything we want to see in the squad additions is the same for Hecky.

I saw a list where his stats were similar to that lad who's at Brighton who all the top clubs are offering £80m for. Not saying he's necessarily as good as him but If we can get him for 10 I'd be happy with that rather than 15 -20 for Doyle.

Nope!
I'm just going on the (admittedly limited!) clips that I've seen of him. He seemed to win the ball back but not do much with it - like a big Monty! 😂 Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong guy! £10m seemed a lot for someone to win the ball back.

As we are probably going to spend much of the season trying to get the ball back it doesn't seem that much.

We're gonna be even optimistically in a massive firefight this season so a very active DM would be useful I think, better than the flat 3 we had last time in the prem with a bored John Lundstram not tracking back.
