CONFIRMED Iliman Ndiaye to Marseille

Since promotion was confirmed, it has looked to me like HRA had no intention of even trying to keep us in the PL (the rumoured pennies in the budget, Hecky's body language, signing unknowns from lower divisions in Europe were big clues). The sale of Ndiaye confirms this, However, it also confirms this HRA has gone down the same black hole as his predicessor, Mr McCabe in that he has given way to short sighteness, for fear of losing a few million in year's time, instead of telling the player to forget about a move right now and focus on having a good season in the PL for us.

I dont see how HRA comes back from this. A lot of fans will not forgive this sale, it looks like the onwers dont care. The atmosphere against HRA and his cronies could easily turn hostile as the season could now quite easily become a humilation.

For a man who has been quite astute in his business activity, nearly bankrupting the club by keeping our best assets (which took guts) to them sell them once we got promoted seems rather odd. Selling our best assets also does not seem the most attractive thing to do if you have interested buyers of the club.

It would be lovely to experience, at least once in our lifetimes an owner of this club who is wealthy, ambitious and will tolerate only sustained success.

Another depressing day in the black history of SUFC.

Ok he’s going, but Marseille? They’re not a top European Team in my opinion, they won’t win the French League and they certainly won’t progress very far in The Champions League. I think he’s been badly advised by his Agent. Should have signed a years extension with a release clause. Played well in the Premier League and the top end European clubs would come knocking, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Seville etc. I wish him all the best but I honestly don’t think this is the right move for him at this time.
Champions league, top 4 in French league a fair amount and another club could come in for him in 2 or 3 years...sounds better than a relegation battle even if you don't factor in the home ties

Hang on guys
There’ll be another story from Fabrizio coming along in around half an hour.
These are more frequent than your average train service, but very frequently cancelled

At the kinda fee reported I’m shocked more clubs aren’t interested, “boyhood club” or not. When you see fees reported for some other players that are nowhere near as good, Johnson from Forest for £35m (which got rejected) is one example, just makes this even more shit.

Our current squad would be lower end Championship at best
Maybe.

You need to score goals to stay up in the PL. Without IN and with the current line up we're not fit to grace the PL quite frankly in that aspect.

Obviously that will change in terms of bodies in but how much of an impact they'll make who knows.

I've gone from feeling quietly optimistic to almost condemned to our fate if all this is true. Don't see us troubling the score sheet much.

Well we will never know if he was PL quality. It's one thing ripping it up in the Championship but its another level doing it in the PL.
Bang on ,so Ndiaye not got the bottle to play in the Premier, and fucks off to 1 of the worst leagues in Europe, IF THE RUMOURS ARE TRUE

Yeah, if he doesn’t want to be here, get rid. But once again the Board have pulled their pants down and said “Insert schlong here”.
Have they? In what way? Please fill me in on the details of all the negotiations that have taken place between all parties, together with a full financial breakdown of the deal that has been agreed.

Like I have said a move to OM was never going to go away even if he stayed with us this season. An ambitious football player would at least want to try their luck at the Premier League once. Maybe he will go to the PL later in his career BUT that's assuming you do well in France and play often at a club that just signed that diva Aubameyang who gets face on when he gets dropped once.

El Accounto is right when he says he has let his heart rule his head on this move.

Ndiaye shouldn’t come out of this without criticism. To do this to us on the eve of the season is unforgivable. Why did he play that in all the friendlies, for his own benefit? Heckingbottom wouldn’t have played him surely if Ndiaye gave him any clue that he wouldn’t be around come season start.

The club shouldn’t have capitulated but he’s fucked us over well and truly, there’s no getting way from that.

Ultimately United decided to sell him. Ndiaye is powerless. Ndiaye remained professional and was one of the best players in the league whilst being paid buttons for two years. His work ethic and attitude has never been in doubt

They always sell short. Always have, always will. When I see above average players going for £40 million, why aren’t we asking that for Ndiaye? What is there to lose? This should also have been sorted a year ago, we’re always our own worst enemy, disorganised and lax to say the least.

To the positive people on this thread… what is your choice of recreational drug? Asking for a friend
I use two. The street name for the main one is “Sense of Perspective”. To manage the comedown I tend to fall back on “Blade for Many Decades”.

Can’t wait to see what the PR spin on this will be doubtless it’ll be that we’ve got some great add ons in the deal and couldn’t stand in his way. But don’t worry the Prince is definitely a better owner than Kevin.

Whilst he's an exciting player to watch, he's not a 20-goal a season player in the championship. But he's being turned into the next Pele by some.
Some will still claim it's purely down to selling him if we go down. But we're probably going down whichever way we go. That's the gap between 2nd & 1st div
We’re definitely going down.

This is what surrender looks like.

Is it too late to change the third kit to more of a white to mark this surrender?

Wouldn’t be so bad if the OM fans weren’t such a set of cunts!
