Which of our midfielder's are Prem quality?
Berge is far and away our best midfielder.

Slimane I have high hopes and his experience tells you he’s way ahead of any of our youngsters.

Norwood and Osborn would be more affective than Arblaster/Neal in the PL.

There’s not denying we need new signings in the area though. It’s the area of most concern for me.

Larouci looked awful on Tuesday , so its important we play him as much as possible before Palace to get him up to pace... hopeing hes just finding his feet , but for a big lad he got knocked off the ball too easy for my liking , hes built like Troare ex wolves and altough his passing was bad , id at least expect him to use his strenght... and not get knocked off the ball so easy... onwards and upwards young man
I felt like he was trying difficult passes too often. Just needs to keep it simple until he finds his feet

HeCanDoMagic anyway my point kind of in support of the other guy is, we are short in midfield until somebody else arrives. I'm a bit of a worrier, we have 6 midfielders irrespective of whether they are good enough, a week later we're down to 3 fit middies and people are promoting Brooks to the squad and there is not a peep about incomings. 4 fit midfielders, count down to Palace has started -14 days.

My thoughts too as soon as I read the comment

Much as the twat was completely irritating and deserved to go, I can have some sympathy now when I see the response to a perfectly valid opinion and comment.

Wonder if you're about to break the record for quickest suspension of a new account 🤔

Foxy what's the current record sir

You carry on. Report it. It will be a pleasure to leave when there are people like you on the forum. Bye.

Stop troll hunting on the forum.

We will ban any sock-puppet accounts.

Worth remembering that pre season matches and training is largely for the benefit of players and management.
Any benefit for supporters is only a by product of the primary function.

Supporters expecting additions to the current squad will know that most loan signings arrive late in the window.
I expect at least two more players to arrive from this group, three if PH gets very lucky. Any more come from the unrealistic expectations of dreamers and the very young. I think any of those who have signed already will probably not be EPL ready starters!

Remember to invade the pitch and create a drum circle around Iliman.

I'd rather neither of them to be honest. Neither look capable of playing in the Premier League. They both need to go out on loan, but only one will due to our lack of depth in the squad. It shows how ill prepared and crap our squad is that we're even having this debate over which inexperienced not ready teenager should start ahead of the other. If one of these two start against Palace, then we really are screwed this season.

As others have said. The kids who have made an impact in the past went straight into the starting line ups and made positive impacts immediately. Lowton, Maguire, Ndiaye, Quinn, Naughton, Walker. Jebbo made an instant impact three years ago but has never built on that, and Osula has done nothing of note period. His loan at Derby wasn't a great success by any means. Neither look like they will have the same impact as those named, who all burst on the scene and remained in the first team afterwards. Jebbo and Osula have the word hope hanging over their heads, but that word has been hanging there for quite a while now. They will benefit from loans to Championship teams, but if neither can cement a place in a starting line up on loan and spend most their time on the bench, then we'd have to be realistic about them ever fulfilling their potential. I've seen nothing from either of them so far to suggest that they are going to and I think our fans have built them up way too much based on not a lot of evidence to back the claims. Jebbo can run fast but never looks up and has no awareness of what is going on around him, or who is around him. Osula takes too long and wants three to four touches before he shoots. He's too hesitant, but hey, he can run fast.

I'm not writing either of them off and I hope they'll come good, and successful Championship loans will benefit us for our promotion push next season. But compared to the likes of Ndiaye, Maguire, Lowton etc they are miles away from where those players were when they burst into the first teams, especially Lowton and Naughton who made the most in pre-season to impress, much as Freckleton is doing now.
Wow we are relegated before we kick a ball in anger (your opinion) could be right , when we are born we know we are going to die sometime ! Dunt stop us from living a positive life does it.
These lads you think are not good enough to make the prem have a long way to travel from youth football to 1st team .
Academy one lads are closer to what's required to make the grade ,that doasnt mean the gap can't be bridged as we have proved with all the players you mentioned.
We have som.e real talent in the academy just the distance they have to travel is greater.
Hopefully a few will ! just need that bit of patience .
Get your rattle out and cheer the lads on to survive! We can do it.
