23/24 season kit thread

Off to the club shop shortly so my lad can make me poor. Will no doubt be in there ages and get to have a proper look and feel of most new items. Fingers crossed it’s not shite quality, as he will be buying loads regardless and at least then I won’t feel as ripped off.

Training gear is decent quality. There’s a home shirt in there on display too. Really good quality shirt. Looks good in the flesh

No 2 ways about it,football fans are being ripped off by the clubs they love.
Whilst ever there are players on a million a year and much more and greedy agents creaming off the top,
then I will have no compunction in buying cheaper alternatives.
It would take me 40 YEARS! to earn a million and 400 YEARS to earn what some players are getting in a year.
With that in mind,people moralising about buying unofficial merchandise can do one.
My son gets an official shirt every year but I got the promotion special for him from DH gate and I may buy again in the future.
Do I feel dirty?…..Neeow!

I'm not picking on any individual here but it's noticeable that some of those who, fairly, moralise about the poverty caused by Gvt, are also seemingly happy moralising about people not paying a lot of money for a poor quality shirt when they can get a much cheaper imitation.

I'm not a fan of snide clothes at all but I completely understand why people are ordering from the likes of DH Gate, especially in the current climate.

I've not held this seasons shirt but I have one of the training tops and the cost is laughable for such tack.

I'm not blaming United, its the way of the world at present. At least we look after our fans with season ticket prices and concession ages unlike many other clubs.

How many folk look @ a jersey & think’kil ell that’s identical ‘cut’ to the one they’ve produced for Dundee United even though it’s an entirely different colour & pattern (stripes / ‘solid) ? so I’m not buying it (or the DU one)
May say it’s a shite collar so I’m not buying it?

Looks a bit like when your favourite white tshirt starts to loose its brightness. Should have gone for a darker grey for sure

Again, frig me! I'd almost consider buying sumat by Errea. There's that trend isn't there of naming THE iconic sponsor per club e.g. Man U having Sharp etc. This would easily be ours.

The only Errea I'm contemplating currently is the walk out jacket, in case it's a classic in years to come.

Like I have said already on this thread these 90's throw back shirts really rely a lot of on the sponsor. The sponsor has to blend well with the shirt. It can't be a Capital One bit of gaffer tape.

The marketing people can say what they want but that is as bland as f@@@ isnt it? There's nothing to it at all, and if it's released for general sale after the other 2 kits they will sell hardly any...and I've not even seen the away kit yet!
