No one knows, do they? Until we try. We didn't think that DCL was good enough, but he seemed to do OK at Everton. Absent any alternative, we have to stick with them. We can't afford to send promising players out on loan whilst bringing other players in who will have an immediate impact. Anyone we do bring in will be a risk for one or more reasons - that's the pool we're fishing in, unfortunately. Even big money signings don't guarantee success.
Be rather like young promising heavyweights being “weened” onto higher level pro boxing by going toe to toe with Fury / Wilder et Al.

A mistake !

He's supposed to be playing in a charity game for Rushden and Diamonds at the weekend, so assume he hasn't got anything lined up yet. Sure there will be plenty of interest though, just waiting on the right offer.

Maybe the offers are not stacking up for Billy?

I'd have thought he would have wanted to get in for a pre-season with a new club.
Maybe the end of the relationship with the love of his life is way too raw to commit to another. Maybe he wants/needs time out to process stuff.
It's incredibly rare but just maybe unlike 99.9% of grabbing, diving, cheating arseholes that constitute the typical footballer he can't contemplate another relationship right now. Maybe emotions are running the show and getting into bed with someone else isn't right. Believe it or not there are still a few folk who think a bit deeper than the average window licker.

I would expect Billy to want a two year contract and no one is prepared to provide that or offer the money he was previously on. Think if he would have scored that all important one additional goal he would have packed it in, instead he needs to find at least one more season. But it has to be the right challenge

Sorry if I missed it, but was he offered no kind of deal at the Lane? Not even as part of the backroom staff without a squad number?

If Billy never kicks a ball again, he has nothing to prove.

Hopefully he focuses on his coaching and goes on to be a great success. He deserves all the good fortune in the world.

I just hope he doesn't ever manage United for his sake. The moment anything goes wrong, he'd get dogs abuse from the sizeable number of cretinous cunts who attach themselves to my club.

Cant see him going to derby they hate him and he hates them
Which is a shame because he might be like Didzy and smash shitloads of goals in. If I were him I would drop a league like that rather than go to say, Rotherham where he might bag seven in 35 games or something. Although I would love to see both those hat-tricks against Wendy.

Or maybe teams understand he doesn't need much of a pre season and don't want to pay his wages till he's playing games?

I think Rovrum will get the answer after tomorrow nights game, I imagine he will be a Miller next season, and has delayed as not to be involved in the game??

Just my view, probably wrong, but he might aswell, especially now his holiday in Greece is off.

If I were him I'd be looking for a League 1/2 team who are going to be up near the top and will no doubt creating chances.

If he's playing for a team like Rotherham he's hardly gonna get a sniff in front of goal.
