If this guy is as good as advertised, we are going to be a handful for alot of teams. This is the capture of the season. Excited to watch this one. Ndiaye mark 2.

Are we likely to be using him as a winger or an out and out forward?
I’ve got a feeling that- for some games against ‘weaker’ teams - we might play three up top with McBurnie doing his best shit-housing and keeping centre halves busy whilst Ndiaye and Traore go at them in two wider roles. Heckingbottom mentioned either a midfield or front three on one of the drills on the Portugal videos and this would be very exciting.

One thing that absolutely cannot be denied, is how well Heckingbottom and co. coach individuals into being better players.

We've seen it with Foderingham, Baldock, Bogle, Anel, Robinson, Lowe, RND, Norwood, Berge, Doyle, McAtee, Ndiaye and McBurnie.
Each one of them markedly improved under this management, even on their form under Wilder (where applicable).

If the player has something and they're willing to put in the work, they do seem able to get a tune out of them.

I‘m right behind Hecky, for many reasons, and I think he can definitely take us forward. But I’m not at all sure about some of what you say here.

Has Baldock, who generally played outstandingly well in all 38 games of the 19/20 Prem season, really “markedly improved” under Hecky?

Have Bogle and Lowe, who were both very poor for long stretches last season, markedly improved?

Is Norwood, who was at the peak of his powers early doors under Wilder, really a better player under Hecky?

Yes to McAtee, Doyle and Ndiaye, and PH deserves some credit, obvs, but these are players whose curve was upward in any case?

That acute accent over the e in his first name is a concern.

“B-ay-nee”? Nah. You’re a Benny now, my lad.

I didn't want to say it initially when we were linked. But his highlight reels remind me a fair bit of Sadio Mane at Salzburg. I remember watching a couple of reels when Southampton signed him and immediately being a fan. Let's hope he can be half the player Mane is/was in the Prem.

Wait till he realises all the EPL games are not played on artificial pitches. Shirecliffe in the winter mud will be an eye opener

Nice adaptation of the ACAB motto from the Hacken fans, relating to their rivals IFK Gothenburg.

All cops are Blåvita (blue and white), guess we could translate that as pigs.

Weatherman's here again in the interview 🤣

Not enough people know that Kevin Cookson is a charter member of The Royal Meteorological Society, and its his lifelong passion to be a regional weather girl.
As such he can literally only get through about 80 seconds of any conversation before mentioning the weather.

According to Nathan Hs video report Brewster is ahead of RND but way off being anywhere near being a canditate for selection.

Only have to watch the Inside Portugal diary today he was doing the filming of the video rather than actual training with the rest. No sign of him at all joining in so looks a way off.

I’ve got a really good feeling about this lad. Gives us flexibility. Let’s hope he lives up to his potential, goals record even at an ok level is absolutely outstanding.

We need a much more mobile midfield in order to do that
