Can’t help thinking that if the move is because he’s got a bumper new contract from our club, then I would’ve expected it to be announced and be all over the press?

Could be that he’s just moving to a bigger house? The timing though makes it suspect for me.

Or of course it’s already done and dusted and he’s booked the flights?

I’m still hopeful there is a middle ground for club and player. He will be on a relatively low paid contract at the moment. If he runs that down he has another year of earning at that level and has the risk of a serious injury scuppering a move next summer.

Hopefully we can offer him a new contract on a good wage which would probably include a release fee. That way he gets his move next summer anyway but the club don’t lose him for nothing. Plus he gets a bit more security.

🤞🤞🤞

Dirty teasing bastards on the media team. The momentum of a new contract could carry us top half of the table alone. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏⚔️

To put an optimistic slant on things, perhaps the new contract negotiations are going well. Maybe the club are confident about getting a deal done.
It'd be an odd thing to tweet otherwise if he was on his way out imminently.

What will be, will be.

I still think the lad would be daft to walk away from a season in the PL, especially when he can then walk towards Marseille in 12 months for free, or even explore offers from clubs who would easily pay him more than us or Marseille could.

Heart is ruling his head though I suppose.

No idea what's she's selling on 1st pic as its not my screen shot. But they're moving house apparently. IMG-20230713-WA0014.jpgScreenshot_20230713_195044_com.whatsapp.jpg

He can agree all the personal terms he wants but until Marseille put in a decent offer he’s not going anywhere. Thing that is annoying is I bet they haven’t offered him nowhere near the personal terms we have.

Fair enough then. Anyone else coming in, in the next 48 hrs?

Can you give us a ballpark figure for what we've offered?

Hi Stegosaurus here

The he should leave at end of the season. Keep us up. Rather than force us to rely on McBurnie and Brewster.

Greedy. Motivated by the dollar. If a different team offered a few extra shekels he'd turn his back on his "boyhood team" and join them instead
Where is there any evidence that Ndiaye is motivated by the dollar? If he was then he would have asked for a transfer last summer and in January when clubs started bidding for him. Billy left other clubs to join us as he wanted to play for his boyhood club. Was he greedy when he left Scunthorpe, or is that different because it's us. Ndiaye has been a great player for us and if he wants to fulfill his dream of playing for his boyhood club then that doesn't make him a greedy mercenary. John Lundstram was a greedy mercenary. Iliman Ndiaye, no.

Players get sold. Players have ambitions and some ambitions can't be fulfilled staying "loyal" at a poorly run, broke Championship club that pays peanuts and will likely be back down in the Championship come May.

If we get a good price for him and Hecky gets all of the fee to use then so be it. One disadvantage we had last time in the top flight is that we didn't have a Grealish or a player we could sell for big bucks to help finance our following summer. This summer selling Ndiaye and Berge could potentially generate £25-30mil, which would give Hecky a significantly better chance in the transfer market, or in rebuilding a team for promotion after this season, which is better than letting them go for free in the summer where we'd then be trying to replace them with little to no money, as our club seems to be good at making the Premier League windfall dissappear quicker than it arrives.

I'm not saying I want Ndiaye to go, but we might have no choice.
