I’m 69. Old enough to remember Jones and Birchenall being sold in the 1960s and Deane/Fjortoft in the 1990s. So when you say “same old”, you mean a long time ago, rather than anything the club has done in recent decades, and completely irrelevant to the Ndiaye situation, which in any case appears to be down to the player, not the club.
Wait, there seems to be a frequency of these double sellings that leave us in the crap.
Let me just work it out; 60s, 90s, appears to be every 30 years! Uh oh.

What would your ideal scenario look like, given the current publicly available information about the clubs financial situation?

It's the financial situation that's the worrying bit. Have you ever heard of a club getting promoted to the prem and having to act like this?

Not the answer to the question l asked. We can all see the difficulties we're facing. I asked you what would be your ideal scenario, seeing as the current rumors appear to be so distasteful to you?

Not selling our best player might be a good start Ronnie.

I’m excited by the signing but god this is depressing. Gearing up for the prem with 2 permanent signings from Scandinavia. Gulp.

I responded to you dismissing the 2 signings we're currently rumoured to be in for, nothing to do with Illi. I asked what would be a better scenario, in your eyes?

It's the easiest thing in the world, to pick holes in the actions of others. IMO, suggesting solutions is a far more useful persuit.

Is it possible to fly to uk and back to Sweden in 24 hours?
Definitely, but seems very unlikely. Any prospective new player would probably want to spend a night or 2 ideally in his new home town surely?

I don't think he's been in Sheffield today

It may have been the last we saw of Bénie Traore in BK Häcken for this time. He came here as a promising young talent, broke his leg when he was going to get the chance, and leaves (probably) as the team's most expensive sale. Bénie Traore, alé alé alé
