that could change now if illiman goes part of that money could go towards a higher salary for doyle i disagree with you i think doyle will be signed on a permanent now
Call me crazy but I think the Ndiaye money would go on an Ndiaye replacement

It's the financial situation that's the worrying bit. Have you ever heard of a club getting promoted to the prem and having to act like this?
Norwich 2 years ago, spent nowt, sold Buendia, waved the white flag before the season started.

I would prefer to see how they pan out before chucking myself under the first bus that passes. You might be right but they might also turn out to be as big a success as Anel.
It’s not them I have the problem with. I’m actually fully behind the signings. It’s the ‘only them’ in terms of perms that is doing the rounds that’s worrying me.

Yeah they went down with less points than us didn’t they. Glad to see we’re following suit with Norwich is more ways than one.

Still a bit early to say they’re the only signings we’re making. Both relatively cheap permanents so still space for loans and even more permanent signings. It’s a long time until the window closes to spend it losing our shit over stuff that might actually not be anywhere near accurate. You have that right but you do seem to constantly look for negatives all the time mate.

Well no shit, it’s hardly a positive time to be a blade at the minute, that’s DESPITE promotion. The mood is so somber.

It’s sombre in the likes of you , time for plenty to happen yet

My honest opinion regarding Traore is that we already have Jebbison who is quick and has bags of potential. That being said 3-4m is a great deal and you have to take advantage of these situations with our budget.

Now who's writing his song 🤣

Not sure how long you’ve supported United (and this isn’t a bigger Blade than you bollocks post before it gets turned into one) but this is definitely nowhere near the worst it’s been in my time mate. We’ve been up and down the leagues including down to division four (although actually that was not the worst). We’ve sold our best players year after year, we’ve been becalmed in division three with football so dull I actually stopped caring if we won or lost. This is not great but Jesus some people need to get some perspective if they think that this is anywhere near the worst time. Each to their own though I guess.

Most clubs with financial issues crumble and struggle/get relegated. But we got promoted and got a load of money. We should be happy (and very impressed by manager/players).

Based on the limited highlights reel of Traore I think they are different players who could work together. Jebbo is more of a conventional number 9, Traore seems to have a bit of everything - pace, trickery, poacher and provider.

Traore looks closer to Ndiaye (at a lower level) than Jebbo.

Because we had the best player in the division and a very solid defensive setup.

What would we have done without the money?

It’s been worse, obviously every season in league one was far worse. I don’t know if anyone’s ever said otherwise.

But to say we’ve been promoted to the best league in the world, half of the fans and I’m definitely included seem to be very much glass half empty. And that’s so understandable. How we have got into this much of a mess is absolutely laughable.

Bigger picture concerns, sure. But we've solved any club-threatening financial problems by getting promoted.

Free hit at trying to stay up now.

Or we can look at it and say as bad as this season may (or may not be) it’s saved us from a much worse financial fate. There’s loads of reasons why we ended up there but if you want a positive to hold on to we still have a club to moan about.

It really isn’t. We were living well beyond our means and if we hadn’t gone up, costs would have been drastically cut, hence the non-renewal of contracts as we couldn’t commit to them. Going up has given us some breathing space.

Being 'quick' is only one attribute. Hardly a reason not to sign a strike because we already have quick strikers.
