It’s got a rumour mill thread yes, but this is a bit different as it would have an absolutely catastrophic impact to our very remote chances of survival.

Depressing state of affairs if it goes through - who sells their best player on promotion to the richest league in the world?

I know, I know! Pick me!

Us!

Blades have tried to renew him multiple times since November.

Hes had no interest every time.

Exactly! It’s not as if we’ve just realised it would be a good idea to offer him a new deal.

Seems like a bit spin from the club to show the fans they did everything to keep him (which is fair enough, I’ve no doubt they’ve tried their best to keep him)

This will be like we did offer a new contract only for him to have agreed with Marseille

That’s probable outcome.

If we've been offering lowball bullshit as is to be expected with no PL money, then that's standard. That changed in late April

Wasnt lowball bullshit.

I mean, we're talking 6/7x his current contract.

if it’s Marseille then i expect we negotiate it up to 8 - 10m with add ons and a 30% sell on clause.

They aren’t cash rich enough be able to pay around 20m

It’s more than that.
You sure? That was his last negotiated deal whilst jokanovic was here.

Naturally it will be higher now since June 30th... as its in his contract

So you're talking in the ballpark of 30 grand a week. Which, for a player of Ndiaye's quality, is absolutely a bullshit offer
You think we should be offering more in the championship, whilst having no cash?

It was going to happen no matter what. We should have tied him down on a decent contract 18 months or more ago. After Wilder demise, club in a mess, shit happens. Illy will always be grateful to the blades, who knows, he may come back. OM is his dream, thank god not florist, or the toffees, to see him play against us would be painful. Much as I am grateful to WAK, for the resurgence of the Blades, the legacy of poor management post promotion to EPL goes on. We get something for a nonproven EPL striker. I'm sure PH is pissed off, like all of us. Spilt milk, let's move on. I pray and hope we have something up our sleeve. Look at Brighton, Brentford etc... it is not the end of the world, we need good scouting and good decisions. This is not about today, it is a result of shit decisions 2 years ago. Keep the faith. The end is not nigh!

Said it on here a million times. No player is bigger than the club. If he want's to go then so be it but just make sure we get what he's worth. He's got to be worth 40 mill at todays prices but the problem is that if the Prince also wants out, then he could take much less and bugger off!

I'm saying if we were offering him a contract extension, it should have been in the ballpark of reasonable. We can do that now, we could have done that before we got promoted if we actually believed in the talent that Ndiaye had in order to protect the asset from the club's standpoint, but clearly we didn't.

4K would mean we offered him like 30k a week. If 6/7 times is right

That’s not a serious offer when the Average PL wage is about 60k a week. And wilder was on 70k a week or whatever.

Offer him 80k a week for a couple of years - it needs show him you’re serious if you’re gonna change his mind
