PMSL at some of these recent posts, you are brutal lads, nobody can say anything on here without the risk of ridicule

I like the comparison with Gyokeres fee, that's the minimum we should be looking for if he goes. The Pep comments are interesting as that would be a great way to get some good young player(s) on exchange

In my opinion, (and I know it's likely very Naive), It wouldn't hurt any of these players to extend their deals to protect the club that has not only provided a platform and playing system for them to shine in, and become sought after commodities, but has also paid them well beyond what the club could realistically afford, almost to bankruptcy.
Why can't they just show some minor appreciation for the club and it's long suffering fans by extending by a year, so the club gets a fair return when they leave. Will they even notice any impact on future earnings?
I'll tell you why.
They're being Selfish and Greedy!
A bit of loyalty and support for the club that's made them shine wouldn't hurt.

Unfortunately the world in general and particularly football as an industry very rarely works like that. The same reason why, conversely, clubs don't give out contracts to the players who they don't want/need.

Reason players don’t sign to help/protect the clubs is because of scenarios like the Harry Kane one. Literally got denied his Man City move by being loyal/convinced to give it one more go and 12 months later they sign Haaland instead.

Plus the fact they can get much more in wages/signing on fee’s by being a free agent.

🤔 hmmmm. I actually know the guy who owns the house Illy is in, the letting contract was with the club and they tied him down for a long period, Illy wouldn’t have to be putting any notice in as the house is provided by the club.
Ask him if he getting 2.5k a month for the rent . Apparently his wife is pregnant and shed like a bigger garden area for the kids Not itk just what i have been told .So the club may have informed him about it

If anything, i'd say they're (Ndiaye and Berge) being the opposite.
They were given contracts and look like seeing them out.

Neither are trying to force a move before the end of their contract. Neither are forcing contract negotiations, or demanding a higher wage.

Hmmm,
Let's see if they give it their all to the end of the season, assuming they stay, or do "Lundstram"..

Not saying you haven’t been told that pal, just saying I know the tenancy he has is with the club to do with as they please. But yea they do give him £2.5k per month for it.

Ndiaye stays till end of season then wants to join Marseille, we qualify for Europe, then we get new billionaire owners in and sign Harry Kane & Mbappe, then say to Ndiaye, "No, you wanted to go to Marseille, so off you go!"
Joking of course😆

Add to that the fact that when they get to a certain point in their careers, the club will bin them as soon as look at them, eg; Billy

It’s got a rumour mill thread yes, but this is a bit different as it would have an absolutely catastrophic impact to our very remote chances of survival.

Depressing state of affairs if it goes through - who sells their best player on promotion to the richest league in the world?
