Just in case this has skimmed under the radar:

Chelsea: Club reveal new home shirt with no sponsor

Chelsea reveal their home kit for the 2023-24 season without a front-of-shirt sponsor.

Not sure if this indicates they don't HAVE a sponsor this season; or just don't have one YET; or what. Good they've released the new kit regardless, but if we were in this situation we'd be waiting for the sponsor as the revenue from sponsorship for us will be a much great %age of total income than it would be for Chelsea, and presumably Kit Launch Day is a big chunk of extra free advertising for all involved.

To reply to my own post (bad form!) - i note that Chelsea were blocked from Paramount+ being a sponsor so as to not "upset broadcast partners"...

Perfectly OK to take money from gambling firms; oil firms; questionable human rights regimes etc. etc. ... but god fucking forbid Sky might get upset that other broadcast media might fucking well exist!!

it's a joke really - the shocking lack of any form of morality from the Premier League surprises me every time. You'd think i'd know better.

On a side note, these images look like they're taken on the roof at BDTBL, presumably at the same time as the photo shoot for the new shirt, as I can't imagine a bunch of players and photographers being sent up there just to shoot a pre-match jacket.

That means a fairly large number of people were stood on the roof of a prominent building, in full daylight, pretty much slap bang in the middle of one of the larger urban areas in the country, and no one

has a grainy image of the new kit to share.

We need to take a long hard look at ourselves as a fanbase

Colour aside the badges were the same on most of the training gear last year as they were on the shirt.

Paul Reeves has said it’s a different style application this year so I’m just putting 2 and 2 together and I think I’m getting 4.

Anyone got a sense on the material of this? Unless I’m being stupid I can’t see it listed anywhere. I’m not a big fan of nylon/polyester tracksuit jackets, but if it’s cotton with the baggier sleeves (hopefully someone knows what I’m talking about) then we’re talking.
