Training gear isn’t my thing but for those interested QPR released their Errea stuff today. Imagine ours will replicate most of that but with our colours. Then maybe some unique sublimated garish pre-match/warm-up/walk-out shirts and jackets which seem all the craze at the minute.

Christ, did they use a 20 year old phone camera and get the groundsman to model the clothes in the bogs? Awful photos

Yeah that looks absolutely wank

Looks decent quality for Errea in terms of stitching etc - like it!

Started trying to edit the green as red and white and the pinstripes as black but gave up!

Can’t wait to get rid of this god awful brand. I’m really into kits and the quality etc but the training gear is shocking. Adidas stuff was brilliant - kits as well. Should never have parted ways with them, they just looked right as Sheffield United’s teamwear brand.

Apparently we'll be in the new kit when we play Chesterfield a week on Saturday (15th)
Do we think it'll be launched beforehand? Most of the players are back now, was that what the media team was waiting for perhaps?
Most likely before the stuttgart game. I would say.

Yeah - don't think we actually wore our third shirt from a few seasons ago much but I really liked it!

I want one one in medium. One of best casual away from game wear shirts we’ve ever had, can’t find one . There was one on eBay but had number on back

Thought this was interesting - an estimated breakdown of how much Man U get per shirt of the £80 retail price. (£4.80 or 6% of the £80 Rrp)

It’s not much so I doubt we receive more than say £3 per shirt sale. So even if we sold 50,000 shirts it’s only going to be like 150,000 of revenue. Not huge money.

One of the reasons we went to Errea apparently, so we can maximise revenue.

I mean it makes sense…. but you’d imagine we’d have a hard time matching the negotiating power of Man U when it comes to these deals. So can’t see is being over a a fiver a kit in any world.

The retailer element here is interesting. We've kept that in-house for quite a while now haven't we? Can you get an official United shirt outside of the club? I wonder if Palace is the same as their new one is only (!) £60.

Gone are the days of going to Suggs... (Or Hamley's on the Moor - got my first Umbro kit from there)

Yeah - That’s a good point actually. I know we have running costs for the shop(s) etc but maybe there’s some of that retailer share we claw back.

It won't cost £8 to make an Errea shirt though. More like 80p

When we had adidas and were in the Prem (and the first year in Champ), we had our shirts stocked at JD Sports

The designs are good but the quality is shit.

I would say designs are 7/10, thought the home kit was okay - red colour always looked too bright to me, away kit could’ve been decent apart from that horrendous collar, third kit was shit for me (don’t like black kits) and the goalkeeper maroon and yellow we’re the best IMO but hardly played in them cos Wes wore green. Like you said mate quality is shit and makes any half decent design sub par for me.

I'd forgotten about that - the deal was the back end of the second season wasn't it. Can't think why I'd forgotten...
There was a point when we had Macron that Sports Direct had some United stock. I remember seeing the weird grey third shirt (2010-11) in the St. Paul's London shop.

I'm jealous of the Yeovil design, I don't think ours will be nearly as good. reckon this could have been one of our best ever kits (I realise this will divide opinion)
