I'm aware Baltic has acknowledged that he's only guessing... but if we're going to discuss his theory, I don't think it's a wild one.

I too would be surprised if PH went nuclear and pushed the eject button, he's worked hard to get his PL chance, he's a local man being paid well and ultimately it's a free hit for him.
If we go down it'll hardly damage his reputation.

However, do I think there's probably a lot of friction between him & the board?
Could be.

PH has said how keen he is to keep all of the squad together, so much so he wanted Sharp and Stevens to stay on.
Perhaps the Board are struggling in negotiations with a lot of our players.
Note that; Foderingham, Baldock, Bogle, Egan, Robinson, Lowe, Berge, Fleck, Osborn, Ndiaye and McBurnie are all out of contract next Summer.

Maybe the Board are looking beyond next season and wondering if we'd be best served cashing in on some of the above rather than letting them walk on frees.
It wouldn't surprise me.
And I doubt PH would take that well..

Hecky resigns and is replaced by McCall
We fail to spend any money on recruits and in the last knocking of the window end up with a bunch of foreign nobodies on loan.
We do manage to re-sign Ben Osborn.
We finish with a record points low and crowd trouble sees parts of the ground shut.
Wednesday exceed Chansiri’s play off ambitions and come up automatically.

Anyone better than that and we should be thankful

The Prince gave him a 5 year contract if you think back to when he took charge.
Manager of all things football .
After promotion I imagine he will be rewarded for that and deservedly so.
It's a big job he took on being football supremo!
The job he's done is remarkable with all levels doing really well in there respective age groups + promotion to the Premier league.
He's a quiet man but obviously on top of his job and it seems he ploughs on when not getting the support he needs cast your minds back to when he took over and running into last seasons success.
He's a chairman's dream really ! Other clubs will have noted this.The prince will be well aware of it and I think he will get paid accordingly.
