For about five minutes around the time that wickham hit the bar we looked as if we might fall apart, but that's it really. We had two complete passengers in defence today, and we've still comfortably won.

Until the third goal I was still concerned, thought there was as much chance of them scoring as us, for me they were much better than I expected and if they'd played like that all season they wouldn't be were they are.

They’re right about the importance of the keeper. Allsop might have saved the first and looked weak on the fourth. Limited teams can’t survive that..

We’d never have dropped into L1 if we had a decent one, and we’d have been back up inside a year too.

Anyway, Cardiff played with enough fight to give them hope, though they’re clearly limited. We just showed a couple of moments quality in an otherwise very ropey effort.

Fair comments. I thought Cardiff played well and the game was finely balanced until the 80th minute. We never looked entirely in control and some of our defending was decidedly panicked. 4-1 flattered us. We’ve played a lot better and lost.

Okay, maybe it wasn't a 4-1 game, but I think these are a little misty eyed with their view of the game, they were no where near getting a point today no matter what they think. Maybe if Wickhams shot had gone in it could have been different for a time, but it didn't & we really could have put our foot down at any point I felt.

You can say Ndiaye's goal is from an error, but it was a forced error that we'd been threatening all game with putting him in behind like that. He'd got one shot away in the first half from it, it was a matter of time before he did them. And Cardiff were only in the game because of a bit of a rush of blood to the head giving the penalty away. Sky gave the xG stats as I think 3.1 for us and 1.6 for them (bear in mind a penalty is 0.76, so they've barely created a goal's worth otherwise). Point is, without us really breaking a sweat, we got a deserved win...again.

We’ve done our bit. The advantage of winning on Friday night is that you can sit back and relax, watching teams take points off each other. No doubt Sheffield United will win 1.0 again but the matches involving teams between 5th and 11th will be interesting e.g. Millwall v Preston! :eek:
