Most of the time they played 3 up top and I think they're the 1st team to try that at the Lane this season. Given that they were average 6 foot 7 and dished out some real muscle to try and knock our lads out of the game I'd say we did ok thumping 4 goals past 'em. Their goalie was left in no-man's land for Illy's goal and pulled off a cracker to stop Billy's 250th; it's always easier blaming the goalie when you've been stuffed. Tactically, the 3 up front gamble was asking for trouble. I was disappointed we didn't manage a 5th goal to mirror the score in our promotion season back in 1971 - their fans were unrealistically cocky that night too when they scored.
