Too rightThe one and only time he needed his team to boring and solid was the game v Boro when a draw would have been fine. After going 1 up early doors he needed the team to sit in, and break on Boro who had a shit load of pace going the other way so needed to give them no space in midfield or at the back. Instead United tried to make it a game of basketball and were picked off. Fucking bizarre tactics.
Next game away at Millwall. Just got a late equaliser at a difficult place to go, and we needed to ensure we got a point at least after our defeat to Boro. Logic was to put Clark on at left centre back to stiffen up that side and take a valuable point. I was actually shouting at the TV wanting him to do it. So what do we do? Make it a basketball game and give away a late winner which was fucking awful from a single free kick punt down out left channel where they actually had a man over. Clark on the pitch would have stopped that dead and got us a point. Blackburn away, a point would have been alright. Keep it right and try and grow into the game and perhaps nick one second half. So what do we do? Get a corner early doors, leave ourselves wide open at the back and go behind after 5 mins.
The least said about today's team selection and tactical master class the better.
All seemingly commons sense tactics and all seemingly beyond the management and/or the players. But never mind, we can still.pick the same fucktards the next game. We have been fucking brain dead at times this season. It's a collective failure by management and team.
The only team that can pass the ball aimlessly around the pitch for 89 minutes
But holding onto something in the last ten minutes they can't do anything but hoof it to the half way line constantly inviting pressure and increasing stress on everybody
