Has Hecky Been Sacked Yet?

No more excuses we couldn't train because it was snowing tough all the other clubs had to train indoors. Mental fatigue, injuries, nearly all the injured are back. If we were not going to bring anyone in January, then why let Khadra go back.

He let kadra go back on the promise of a replacement, then the board double crossed him...

Is this true?

The player wanted more game time. The speed the Brum deal was done suggests it wasn’t really anyone at the Lanes decision. He wasn’t pulling many trees up anyway.

No replacement was the major disappointment. It’s not like we would be adding new players to the wage bill if signed.

The thing that really annoys me about the Hecky discourse is the fact there's a very vocal group of fans who have hated him since he was given the job, refuse to give him any credit (apparently anyone could manage this squad to promotion. Someone should tell the Watford and West Brom owners about Anyone), look at anything to criticise him about. Apparently he injures players with his recklessness. Everyone knows. When he says something reasonable in a press conference he isn't passionate enough. He "tells the players to play too safe" despite the players saying he told them to stop playing too safe. Already talking about getting rid of him if we go up. The list goes on and on.

Now, it's perfectly reasonable to question the system, tactic, substitutions, starting XI etc, especially of late, but there's rarely praise from this group when he gets it spot on. Rarely even the basic understanding of the constraints he's operating under. If we beat teams "anyone could have got the 'best squad in the league' to win". We win through an injury crisis and the performances aren't good enough. Fans expect random youth players number 7 (who they've never seen play) to be brought in to the team because they're better than a player who is a regular in a team second in the league. Expect a player who hasn't played in the league to suddenly start and have no negative impact on our results or performance. And I'm very much sure should Hecky make the big changes that some are demanding and we lose it will be his fault for being 'clueless'.

Some of our fans are desperate for Wilder to return. Want a manager who will go on endlessly about being a Blade and beating his chest. Seem to think we're entitled to go up. Seem to thing we should easily beat almost any team in the league. Think that training pitches, injuries, embargo, takeover, lack of funds, no new contracts, working conditions shouldn't impact on our players because they're not human beings, they're rich and privileged.

It's why I get so pissed off when losing a game seems to automatically spark threads about sacking the manager with no acceptance of the job he's done so far. Sure, we're having the worst spell under his leadership, and he deserves criticism (as do the players) but if this is going to be the response every time we have a bad spell then we're just going to be Watford. 3 managers every season because our fans expect to win every flipping game.
when we beat burnley 5-2 and spurs in the cup and trampled over blackburn at home the Hecky Haters were no where to be seen .
criticism is really easy to throw around.
especially when your not prepared to give credit where its due

How do we know ?

Because before we let him go back hecky was asked in a pre match presser that if he was to return to Brighton would we get a replacement in..

Hecky said yes and if that wasn't the case I'd keep him, so he was promised another loan in...

That's why we were in for Cameron archer from villa.

So promises were not kept.

Thanks - didn't know that

Ignoring the obvious idiot who were these haters?

The current issue is that after taking us into a great position, he’s become far more negative and playing the Blackwell system. Don’t concede, hope you can snatch a goal.

Then there’s the reluctance to do anything about a misfiring midfield.

Spurs in the cup. Did you not see the side he put out? Clearly gave a rest to those approaching breakdowns about contract renewals and their consignment to food bank queues.

saw the side and welcomed the changes , already said wasting places using sharp berge and fleck
get in the lads that have an engine on them
but saturday still came as a surprise in its overall malaise
looked more like an Adkins level of shitiness

we are noted mainly for our energy and were just listless

A bit like the last two managers i think

stupid embargo caused by bad management but heckys to blame for these negative defensive boring tactics hes been playing of late
Don't think that's his plan the players set the agenda on Saturday not going forward ...

So do you think boros boss is to blame for them letting Stoke rob them of 2 points with stoke being the only side looking like winning 2nd half

Are we still sacking him then?
Well obviously not now that we’re actually going after teams and playing like we want to win.

We were fucking shite in the games leading up to this thread. Tbh, he probably read it and thought, I better get my shit together and get this team promoted….

…so you can all thank me.

He was excellent with his subs today.

If he keeps the same starting 11 we get promoted 100%, as he seems to have now got a bench he can call on to see a game out.

Basically you had a meltdown and toys went flying.

Good that we've got calm heads, that 2 weeks makes such a difference.

If we go up and likely when now I would still get shot of hecky

He’s done a fine job but IMO he is not a premier league level manager at all it’s as clear day

Football is a ruthless game unfortunately and you do what is best for the club not what’s the best thing for a certain player or manager
