Ipswich was another club around that time that we couldn't seem to beat.
We had a good record there in the league when Bobby Robson was their manager

Played 5 won 2 drew 3 lost 0. Woody scored in three of the games

And didn't we thump them by seven goals during that period, or was that after Robson?

Done some checks and I think the current longest run of consecutive away defeats is only 3. Liverpool, Newcastle and Portsmouth.

Shane Long played in that one, too. And our fourth was ruled out very controversially. Should have stood. :)
Not sure if they all played in this match, but at that time I think we had the worst back four I can remember in my 57 years of going to games (and I'm including the div 3 and 4 years). Mattock, Collins, Lowry and Nosworthy. Every one of those an absolute clown...

To think he turned out for us back in our dark days of League One. He notched a few for us that season though.
I am not gingerist but there was something about him I couldn't stand. I always thought of him as a poor mans Jon Stead but he still banged in 11 in 12/13 season maybe it was his prime Reading days

We even won at Reading in the awful 2010-11 relegation season.

We were 2-0 down after 20 minutes.

That's as close as I have ever got to leaving a game before half time. Glad I stayed in the end; and that decision to disallow our fourth was ludicrous.

3 loan players and a new signing not good enough.

2 seasons after Naysmith, Naughton, Kilgallon and Morgan had conceded less than a goal a game. Thanks McCabe.

We didn’t win there between 1973 and 2010.

We went from 1975 to 2010 without winning a game in any competition at Portman Road.

17 league games, one FA Cup game and one play off game. (Although we did go through on away goals in the play off game having drawn 2-2 after a 1-1 draw at Bramall Lane).

Out of interest...

Longest current runs of home league wins:
Bristol Rovers 5, Port Vale 4
Longest current run of home league defeats:
Man City 4, Leicester 3

Which makes our failure to ever win a league game at Bristol Rovers even more bizarre.

The fastest red card in Premier League history. He got that after being on the pitch for just 12 seconds. 😄
He was actually on the pitch for 24secs but because the ball never came back into play from the throwin he was actually sent off after playing zero seconds. That's according to some record books anyway.
