I have a strong feeling that Chis Basham is self aware of his recent failure, and he will be keen to put that right, given the chance.
If he is fit and available, I would have no qualms about putting him in as direct replacement for Ahmedhodzic.
Basham is a top bloke and I’m sure he wants to show it the next chance he gets. Always makes the top 3 in players and fans choices come the end of the season.
I’m the one who didnt want Fleck back outside of an emergency, and he confounded plenty of us!

It's a tactical switch which I've been wondering about, the ball playing central defender. The two outside centre halves aren't the marauding types so that gives us something different.
 
Slotted into that central role excellently, great performance, shame he’s now missing for 2!

Totally bossed that position and gave a masterful performance against a top 5 Premiership team full of international players. Incredible.

MOM ? How does he get in front of Bash, Osborne and JLT ? They were all brilliant and defended as a unit.

I agree. And they were all outstanding individually too.

But Anel dominated Richarlison to the point he lost his head and fucked off, meaning they had no focal point. He swept in and carried the ball off whenever we needed it. He passed our way out of trouble and just made it look so easy.

The three you mention were great, but Anel was a class above for me

I don't want to get too carried away because as superb as we were, Spurs were poor...but he was up against Son, Richarlison, Moura then Kane. The sort of composed, classy and smart defending probably last seen at the Lane by Paul McGrath, but with (lots of) pace. Looked a Champions League player all over tonight.

We made spurs look poor..
 
That’s our strongest back 3 for me. Anel was so fucking good as the middle ball playing centre back, he looked top half Prem quality easy tonight…. Tbf so did a lot of our players tonight

Spurs were also poor because we made them look poor. We didn’t let them settle,
Flew into tackles and played sensible football when we had it
 
If people were still sitting on the fence, then I think Anel has got to now be serious consideration to start all games as Central CB.

Robbo was obviously motm, but apart from that thought Anel marshalled the defense superbly and all aerial threats (bar the end when we were flagging big time) were dealt with comfortably.

In fact the only time we looked vulnerable was when he moved out to the right after bogle went off and bash coukdnt deal with richarlison
