At this point I would just like to thank Kevin Blackwell and Trevor Birch. What a 'legacy'. Just before the callaitous sacking of KB, Trevor Birch allowed him to dish out unsustainable contracts to Monty, Quinn, Cresswell, Morgs and Simmonsen. With the exception of Quinn, all has/never been's with very little quality (depsite putting in a lot of effort). Now we are left with 3 players draining £1.5 of the club in wages a year and risking us not meeting the fair play rules.
I am wondering if the wages of Monty and Cresswell will not count towards the FFP calculation if they are not selected to play.
I don't know the answer but it would explain them not playing for "financial reasons".
If their wages are included anyway then we may as well play them if the situation demands it.
It also suggests that Kevin McCabe is still bankrolling a good part of the wage bill whilst endeavouring to play within the rules.
