1987-88 Home Shirt. Measures 22 inches armpit to armpit. In really good condition, the red and white is nice and bright, the collar is nice and clean and is nice and springy no sagging. Please remember it’s 35 years old so there are a few small pulls and the odd bobble but it really is a very nice shirt. Only sensible offers please there aren’t many of these shirts in this condition around. Check photos for the condition of club badge etc. Will be going on eBay if no interest in the next 24 hrs.

Say this all the time. But from the early 1990s, for a period of about a decade, I had almost all the home and away shirts, and many tracksuit and training jackets, stored in polythene wrapping (they had all been worn), then I moved house at some point and chucked them all.

I bet if I had still got them would be worth a small fortune!

We were meant to have the anniversary kit as our third kit that season, but instead we just used that plain one instead. It was never on sale.

Same design, just plain black an d white instead of all the names etc. I don't know why they never wore the anniversary one though

They appear on eBay very rarely and go for over £200. That's where mine came from

Just a quick heads up to anyone think of buying off bramptonblade I’ve never met the fella but have now bought 3 immaculate shirts from him (1 on here, 2 on eBay) The quality and dispatch is first class.
I’m currently in the process of swapping my entire collection from XL to L as I’ve shrunk a little as I’m getting older. Anyone with top notch large shirts pre 2015 then I’m interested! Plenty to go at.

You went from polythene wrapping them to throwing them? Seems erratic.

Not really. When I was younger I wrapped them as I thought it would be nice to have them when I was older (never kept them with the intention to sell).

When I moved out of my parents to my first house I realised how much bloody space they took, hence binning them.

Similar story around programmes!

Players shirts are printed in batches, there are always a number of shirts left over that are disposed of in different ways, ie sponsors, charity, staff and sometimes they find their way onto the sale rail !!!!

Talking of shirts, it may be an idea to start collecting the shirts from the ladies team. Women’s footy is only going to grow in popularity so the shirts may become quite valuable in years to come.

The value means nothing to me regarding my blades tops, I won't part with them either way for love nor money! My missus doesn't get it but when I get a new one for the collection I like laying it out, looking over it then putting it away. Lifting crossbars till your on backwheel doesn't come close to the buzz

They give away a signed one at every home game on the raffle, but never seem to call the numbers when I buy a ticket
