I personally feel both players suggested they didn't want those particular moves and HRH agreed to it with the approval of the new owners. I also feel the takeover is very close at which point the late payments will be made and embargo lifted.

Looks fairly obvious the prospective owners are already pulling some strings but both parties need to make these decisions. Whilst PA may have wanted to sell assets (or not, I don’t know) it at least seems both agreed to settle on the obvious and best course of action for the club?

One thing I’ve learnt watching the football through 7 decades is we are where we are at 3pm ont Satdi. Bugger Social Media overloading us with too much information and fake information than out emotions can handle.

When Satdi comes we will walk out at Rovvverum 12(13) points ahead of 3rd, nothing else matters. But reflect on how we got here Off the pitch.

PA appears to have played brinkmanship with the prospective owners like he did with the McCabe family and won. Fans just had to watch and hope.

So on the basis that the embargo is removed the moment the monies hit the EFL account that we owe (source Hecky himself) if it has already been paid then we should be out of the embargo today. So unless we here later today with news confirming this then the only logical conclusion is that it currently remains unpaid. There may now be agreement between the outgoing and incoming owners though which is more likely. I suspect that the new owner is a Guarantor up to the debt of the monies owed under the embargo. The guarantee can be sorted in a few days.

Not saying it was settled yesterday, they’ve agreed how it’s going to be settled which obviously meant no player sales were needed. It’s a case of reading between lines because nobody has been clarifying anything.

If we incurred a point deduction because of the Prince digging his heels in about not paying, it would cause more issues. The buyer is buying a club that’s 12 points clear and I’m sure the price they’ve agreed is based on this slightly.

Okay Andy, following this train of thought. HRH 'hawks' the players as you describe it despite the embargo being effectively sorted for after the deadline. This means that either
a) the sales were without the approval of the new buyer. Jeopardising the deal that has gone through. You don't agree to sell a car, then sell its wheels and expect the buyer to still pay up.
b) the sales were with the approval of the new buyer. That money would have then gone into the clubs kitty ready for the new owner.
c) again, the new owner agreed to the sales, but the money would go to HRH with the price of the club being renegotiated.

Each of a, b and c lowers the price of the club because it means that promotion is less likely. Also, none of these are really to the benefit of HRH.

Clubs apparently in process of changing hands. Prince is looking to make money from sale, because - spoiler alert - he’s not an altruistic Blade. This doesn’t mean he has or had nefarious aims, the way he’s tried to make money is to get us promoted.

We are now in an attractive position to sell, so PA trying to max out his investment.

Financial settlement needed to be negotiated between current and prospective owners. Plays out as you’d expect a high stakes negotiation to play out? Possibly a bit of tactics and brinksmanship from PA but ultimately looks like a win-win outcome.

It's all very clear now what happened. The Prince absolved his duties in the running of the club, and left it to the incoming owner. The issue with a missed payment has cropped up and the Prince thinks the new owner should stump up. Obviously there has been a mexican style standoff, which boiled down to the Prince threatening to sell prize assets to sort it. This was brinkmanship in a way, but I believe Andy67 that he was fully prepared to do it - his loyalty is towards his personal wealth and not the Blades. The new owner has had to step in to protect his soon to be Golden Goose.
