Does anyone think that this supposed takeover is going to happen?
Yes, I have to believe it will due to what information we have. I just have concerns that the new owners might not have the same good intentions that we all hope they're going to have and expect.
We are a different financial animal to Wrexham with possible Prem money to come and a much larger wage bill. The fact that our owner seems to want to get rid quickly to just anyone is very, very worrying for me.

Well i thought that my self .The fact that nothing as leaked makes me wonder is there anything to leak ? The problem is there has been no statement from the board which in turn fuels all the speculation on such sites as this . Even our manager seems left in the dark which must be really annoying for him . Just like the last two managers you can see it in their faces how pissed off they are with the board . We are doing our usual by trying to fuck everything up . Thats why most Blades fans are so negative ,we always find a way to shoot our selves in the foot .

The EFL isnt bailing us out it's giving the money to the club we didn't pay. Why should that club be punished? We now have to reimburse the EFL
Why didn't we pay? We have had Anel playing for us all season. We should be punished for not paying for him, it's not up to the EFL to pay our debt for us and then waiting for us to pay them back.

Its done by the EFL to protect the club who we owe the money to. To stop lawsuits etc and money problems that may occur at the debtor.

Valid argument but this protects a innocent party. I don't see any issue with it 🤷‍♂️

Even Mark Hughes was amazed at 4th official stopping game and instructing ref to red card Jebbo. Said he was trying to get attention suggesting he was star struck 🤩 with the hollywoodisation of the tie.

Strange thing is it will be great for the documentary and for the neutral it was a classic.

I still have no idea who he is. My missus, who is the font of all celebrity knowledge, told me what nationality he is, what films he's been in (despite, like me, never having watched one of them), who he is married to, what films she's been (in despite, like me...etc etc). I'm afraid I wouldn't know him if I bumped into him as he was scuttling back into his heated box after a 95th minute equaliser. He's no Sean Bean, that's for sure.

Likewise. Really into films but haven't seen him in anything.

Surely we are being punished by being under an embargo? What other punishment could any club impose on us if we refused to pay them a transfer fee instalment which was promised? As far as i understand many transfer fees are paid in stages, so maybe we have failed to pay one of the instalments so that could answer your first question. Bottom line is, nobody knows who we owe, for which transfer. To me it seems sensible that the EFL have this rule in place to support lower league teams especially, who are more dependent on cash flow than teams higher in the leagues.

The whole media circus around these actors is distasteful and disrespectfu.

Damn Yanks coming over here and taking our football clubs.....

Give me an Arab anytime.

What happens if Wrexham play forest? Do the cameras focus on Reynolds or Brennan Johnsons dad?
Wow, that would be like an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. It would surely tear a massive hole in the space-time continuum. Let's hope it never happens.

I have an issue with it. It's part of the 'buy now pay later' culture that we find ourselves in that so many use to get themselves into huge debt.
Any team should not be in a situation where they have an asset that they haven't paid for. What lesson are we (or anyone else) going to learn if the EFL pay our debt? What will stop us from doing this again?

The embargo isn't great but really it is not lot likely to last long. We should never have got ourselves into this mess in the first place. If we can't afford to pay for a player, we shouldn't be able to sign them.

And so what if a club living game to game with only free transfers and kids gets shafted? Of course the EFL should help them out.

We have a embargo and still need to pay but the innocent club isn't hurt by this. I honestly can't see this being anything but common sense 🤷‍♂️

The club wouldn’t get shafted if a club only agreed to buy a player from them if they could afford them.
