A few had off days today but come on ffs...both Oli's are off the naughty step atm...we need .. nay..demand a scapegoat regardless of any justification!

He's been excellent the last 3 home games. I've seen no evidence of him been worse.

Wouldn't quite say that, think he's been good since the glandular fever apart from today when he was quite poor.

Nothing wrong with being good and playing reasonably well.

The problem is before the world cup Ahmedhodzic set himself a really high bar.
He was fantastic, full of energy and running, often appearing up front and sprinting past players with the ball.
He stood out as being far too good for the Championship. Maybe that was just a hot spell of form because his energy levels do seem to have gone down.
In the last few games he seems to stay more in defence and doesn't make as many roving forward runs.

I think we can give the occasional free pass.

The pitch was like it had cart horse racing on it for the last fortnight.

Glad nobody got injured because of it. I’m confident back on the Bramall Lane Desso it will be a different story.

He isn’t getting forward as much because we’ve been using Lowe and Bogle at wing back. Sadly that’s what some of our fans seem to judge him on.

He’s looked fine defensively and a shame that goal saving tackle against Coventry has been forgotten.

Had an off game today. Cup tie, determined opposition, ploughed field of a pitch, centre forward playing a free role, it happens. Move on.

Long throw too!
Commentator said "You can be sure they've practiced all week defending long throws. Not sure if they've got anyone who can hurl it that far though". Yup, another well researched BBC oik.

Him and Sander had a proper understanding in the early part of the season, I think Sander's injuries and drop in form as well as the illness has probably compounded and made him less effective. Still a better option than Basham at present though.

Basham wouldn't of got into the Wrexham team on lastnights performance. Should never wear a Blades shirt ever again. Should of got shot of him a long time ago.
You can see Anel doesn't look well.

You could say that about the vast majority of players yesterday.

Basham is a protected species, he's got enough credit in the bank that he can keep playing until he wants ;)

If the assessment if solely from his performance against a direct, physical side played on a farmer's field then it is somewhat unfair.

True that he's not quite replicated the levels of his first few performances but he may well be still getting over his illness (you'll recall it also took Brookes a long time and I can personally vouch for how awful and draining it is) but he still seems to be enjoying his football, has weighed in with several goals and still appears to be way ahead of Basham for the RCB spot.

Far more like himself today though. Maybe just 1 game a week's a good idea for him if he's still struggling a bit post-glandular fever. Could play against Spurs though if he's 10 days off after.
