I have a suspicious feeling Norwood plays. I think he just doesn’t like to miss games even though there is a chance with playing you may get injured.

Osula can’t play, Boyes can’t play.

The defence kind of picks itself.

I would not risk Ndiaye.

The Star had this team:

Davies

Bogle Basham Egan Robinson Stevens

Doyle Berge McAtee

Jebbison Sharp

I can well imagine Norwood in the midfield instead of one of those three and the one being omitted being the first one off the bench.

Good chance for a few kids on the bench and a debut for Coulibaly.

Prediction - lose 1-0, Jake Cooper scores!

I really hope we don't go for anything that strong in a meaningless fixture.

With Millwall very much slap bang in the middle of the play-off pack, I don't see them putting out anything like a full strength side either. The Magic Of The F.A Cup......
I was on one of their forums and many wanted them to go for it, knowing we'd put out a weaker side, and liking the idea of a cup run. Obviously Roy will do a better review of their thoughts, but I think they fancy it...

Doesn't meant the management agree of course :)

Ticket office says I can't buy and collect tickets from Millwall Box office, but that it is now pay on the day with 900 tickets available. £15 adult and £10 concessions so just an FYI for any other London based Blades. Looking forward to a stress free injury free day.

I'm expecting a few changes, perhaps 5 or 6 at least in the starting 11 but then again who knows!

For me it's important we give a few players a rest at least from starting line up.
These being N'Diaye and Norwood and I wouldn't be against also benching Anel.

I wouldn't risk Bogle, Berge or McAtee.
Someone mentioned Coulibaly might be available. Thought he was in the Brewster/RND camp. Iliman deserves a break as does Anel. Norwood seems imune from injury. What is he doing so well in training? and can everyone else copy him please.

I would go for this as well, but maybe squeeze Arblaster in. Norwood is always fit and available, so I suspect he might play, but I think it would be worthwhile giving Doyle a game in his role and could be good for his confidence as well, asking him to get on the ball and make the play.

------------------------------Davies
Bogle-----Bash--------Egan---------Robbo--------Boyes
---------------Doyle-----Norwood------Brooks
------------------------Jebbo-------Ndiaye

Subs:

Amissah, Sachdev, Gomis, McAtee, Coulibally Osula, Marsh
Boyes and Osula seem to be cup-tied, so

------------------------------Davies
Sachdev-----Bash--------Egan---------Robbo--------Bogle
---------------Doyle-----Norwood------Brooks
------------------------Jebbo-------Ndiaye

Subs:

Amissah, Buyabu, Gomis, McAtee, Coulibally Sharp, Marsh

I think all those are here. It's hard to keep up. I think Neal, Brunt, Gordon, Dewhurst, Hiddlestone, Starbuck, McGuire, Broadbent , Peck and Seriki are all out on loan

I think Bogle needs the minutes and we have George if the worst should happen. A change in formation wouldn't hurt either for a cup game, and so I would go with:

Davies
Bogle, Bash, Robinson, Buyabu
Coulibaly,
Doyle, Brooks
Marsh, McAtee
Jebbison

Is this on TV anywhere in the world? Is there any way to watch it from home?

I've legally paid for every TV subscription in every country so and for all ifollow channels so just need to know where to find it

no me neither play a reserve side the upcoming games against stoke and hull really important for us cant risk any injuries in any case it would be a good chance for some to enhance their cases for spots in the 18 for next league game

I’m not clicking on that, although the headline means I don’t have to. Seems odd as he’d played plenty of games for them. Either we’re planning to loan him to a better club or he’s here as back up and we might as well play him against Millwall.
No point clicking on a Sheffield Star headline, it is rare for the "article" to be anything more than a repeat of the headline

Agree 100% Obviously never want us to lose a game but I'd take a loss for 6 points in the 2 games you mention. Tomorrows dosen't matter a single iota. Go. Get it over with. Come home unscathed having played a complete youth team.

Why play Egan, Norwood and Ndiaye? Literally played every league game this season and our three best players down the spine. Madness.
Who else would you play instead though?

I don't think Bash could play in the Egan role. Clark is injured. Anel probably needs a rest more than Egan who was suspended last game. Not sure who plays in the middle in the U-21s
Ditto with Norwood. Berge is a possibility but Berge needs a rest more than Norwood. I think Arblaster is another natural replacement but he's injured.
Your Ndiaye replacement would maybe be Khadra, but that's not happening now. McAtee could play there. possibly, but never has for us and likely next to Jebbo. Sharp needs the rest more than Ndiaye, I'd wager, as well.

I take your point but they're in positions where we're short. Also, we don't play any midweek games this month, so not a heavy schedule.

Davies - Robinson, Egan, Basham - Lowe, Coulibaly (Brooks if unavailable), Doyle, Berge, Bogle - Jebbison, Sharp. Berge to play no more than 60 just to continue to build match fitness

Lowe ruled out I thought.

Davies
Bogle Anel Bash Robinson Stevens

Doyle Norwood Brooks
McAtee
Jebbison

That's a strong side and gives Ndiaye, Berge, Egan, Baldock, Billy and Wes a rest.

I would play the kids, all that he can fit in, we don't need the cup run and the extra games with the job in hand, if there are to be no extra players coming in January..

Millwall usually knob us by an odd headed goal anyway, we never learn 😂

Gordon/Potter/Gomis for Egan.
Coulibaly/Doyle/for Norwood.
McAtee for Ndiaye
Egan was suspended against Blackpool.
Some people have very short memories.
I don't actually. He's missed ONE game this season and played about 5 games for ROI. If he's missing for league games long term we're fucked.

I'm not sure any of the kids is ready to step up into the Egan role. Gordon is on loan as well. I see your point but getting hammered will not do any of them any good.

Why play a single player crucial for the Stoke game. Tomorrow means less than nothing especially with our ability to rack up injuries. Shouldn't have a first team 11 player anywhere near the Den

Because sending your youth team to get slaughtered will do none of your youth team any good?

How many teams have done this?

Point taken, but if United win, and Tottenham at Lane in next round, would that deserve a full strength team?

Literally, nothing matters more than promotion this season. So, no.
I'd put the kids out again, maybe with a sprinkling of a few first teamers to look after them.

Your thoughts?

No idea and couldn't care less. I have one and only one interest, Getting promoted this season. The alternatives don't bode well. No idea why anyone would risk a single valuable player against a bunch of cloggers,
We aren't going to get anywhere near winning the FA Cup. I would protect our players that can take us back to the Prem. Let's revisit this thread at full time tomorrow.

i want to win its the fa cup, i always want to progress because i want some more incredible memories at bramall lane or neutral venues. but reserves will have to be put out, just give them a break & the people on the bench who will be needed some game time

on the FA Cup as a whole im not fully klopp, but i think replays need to be optional. obviously keep them if 1 side wants a replay. but both teams agree beforehand they'd rather finish on the day. like would be the case in the 12 same league matches (+ Ipswich v Rotherham & Bournemouth v Burnley) this weekend of that teams would rather lose than go to a replay. finish it on the day
