No one deserves anything he didn’t deserve the job in the first place

You do what’s best for the club not what’s best for Heckingbottom

If we went up and there was a clear upgrade on the manager I would 1000% change

But sit in your grubby bedsit havin a wank to people biting, because we will go up, and with the resilience we have as a group we may just stay up, meanwhile your lot will get twatted every week in a proper league if you go up and whatever happens you are a million miles behind the only football team in Sheffield

His record for the academy and also under caretaker manager showed he knew how to utilize the squad better than Slav. It's been proven.

You always do what's best for the club and right now it's heckingbottom. This can change for sure but you cannot argue with the results really.

Clubs that change manager upon promotion usually crash. In fact tell me one who changed upon promotion to the PL (before the season starts) and it worked?

I'm the believer you earn your keeps. Players earn contracts and moves, managers earn contracts, time and funds.
If a manager has just earnt you success they should be allowed time to see if that can continue.

By your method we should have sacked Wilder upon promotion to the championship as he had never managed that high in the pyramid before.

I’m not sure there has ever been a team who have sacked a manager in the summer after promotion

Though I can name you plenty after 10 games when they have found out the manager is not good enough

Based on our performances not results hecky isn’t good enough

Football is a cutthroat business that’s what I’d do

To be fair, there’s a significant number of people who post on here just to troll, so I don’t doubt that.

That said, I don’t think any are quite as dedicated or as blatant as you though- even your profile’s avatar gives it away.

You never get close to predicting what happens in the next game so what has given you the confidence to post what you think will happen in the next 58 games?

Exactly so if we gain promotion which I do not think is a forgone conclusion at all.

But if we do i would let heckingbottom start the season as manager.

You are correct many have been replaced after 10 games or so.
But many have also written off the doubters too.

In a strange way if we did get promotion it could be that top flight works better for how heckingbottom manages. Equally it may just not work and we have to change.

Supposed upgrades in manager don't work for us

You can bet your life that a well respected manager who has had "relative" success at other clubs will not have that success here.

A grafter, or a borer, and most likely someone with a combination of both is the only way we ever get a bit of success

History shows this is true. Also when ever we've shown ambition regards manager appointments it's quickly failed.

When ever we've changed our culture to play the patient "keep possession"passing game, our fans have hated and it's never been successful (apart from maybe under Howard Kendal, that era was pretty incredible regards our instant change in style and it was heading towards being successful too before he left for Everton).

Robson and Jokanovic were both "big name" expensive appointments and both changed our style to the patient passing game but it was a culture shock for our fans.
We'd control the centre circle and look good, then you realised we weren't creating many chances because our attacks were too slow.

Blackwell (the cheap option) reverted back to a version of the Warnock style and was instantly successful moving us up the table into the play-offs..
Then Hecky (the cheap option) also reverted back a version of the previous Wilder stye and again was instantly successful moving us up into the play-offs.
We don't keep possession as well under Blackwell or Hecky but we have more attacks, quicker play and it's arguably more entertaining.
Hecky is lucky in that this season we have some top quality players who can score from nothing, so even when playing poorly we can still win games.

I suppose the issue is Blackwell and Hecky were and are successful appointments in the short term reverting back to what we know. However, looking forward, if we want to become an established PL club then maybe we ultimately need a possession based style where we can have times controlling midfield.

In football it's all about the short term.....planning for the long term is almost impossible as most fans have a tendency to be impatient and want it now.

It is a fact that we have played like that plenty of times this season and won. But I was always under the impresion that a team who plays badly and still wins is the sign of a good team.
