Great pictures, great players. Mixed emotions looking at them, close my eyes and I'm back there in my star jumper, white skinners and DMs running riot, watching the best footballing Blades team in my lifetime.......open my eyes and that fat, bald old bloke's staring at me in the mirror, wondering where the years went.

No matter what, I'm so lucky that I got to follow that lot, football with a swagger, marvelous times.

I was there, bit of a Blades classic for me.
Losing 2-0, won 3-2, Dearden, Eddy and TC.
It really pissed on their chips, stopped them winning the league.
A result that contributed to a “bit of a laugh”at St Andrews.

On the right played one game that season away to Portsmouth (won 5-1), later he moved to a Yorkshire club and was a regular in the club's 73-74 promotion season. The other (although it took me quite a bit of time that evening before I realised who he is) played in the County Cup that season but played some games for us in the 1st division before he went to a South West club 2 divisions below in 1974 and he scored against us in December 1976

Correct. I was surprised about Dave Staniforth. He used to look like Noel Edmonds but not now and that night he looked about 5 foot 8 despite that he was almost 6 foot in his playing days
