What would you value him at?

that means we`ll take owt under 750k.What would you value him at?

Really? 500k tops. He's got potential but no club in the championship could afford 2m for him, and no club in the premier league would buy a defensively suspect 23 yr old right back from league 1
He's worth whatever we are prepared to sell him for - 2 million, and no less.
if we sell hime, we'll get bent over backwards as we always seem to do!
always amazes me how similar clubs command decent fees for players yet the blades seem to get shafted
Hes young, has potential and can be coached to improve his defensive side. Or just be played as an out & out wide man. I think £2M is conservative. £3M with sell ons IMO.
We should not be looking to sell at all.
If need be get rid of the players still sucking huge lumps out of our wages. Monty, Cresswell etc.
Wrong. He's worth whatever somebody elese is prepared to buy him for. That's what 'value' is, a measure of how much the market is willing to pay.
I'll give £20 to the forum if he goes before the end of August for more than 750k.
I don't think we should be looking to sell him either. I just don't think we'd get 2-3m for him. We might think he's worth that , but i highly doubt that that's what the market will value him at.
What clubs do you think would be interested in buying him at 3m?
Because football is a perfect example of 'the market'?
It simple; do we want to sell him? If No, then someone will have to pay over the odds to have him.
I'll repeat the question i made to Kev Gee.
What clubs do you think will pay 2m for him? Are there better players than Matt lowton available for less?
Which clubs is irrelevent and If there are better players then so be it, we're not actively looking to sell him presumably. If someone knocked on my door and offered me £5,000k for my car I'd tell them to fook off. If it was sat on a forecourt I'm sure the transaction would be more typical.
You said that he was valued at 2m. Value is a measure of how much the market is willing to pay, so therefore you must think that there are some clubs willing to pay that so no, it isn't irrelevant.

No it isn't, value is a measure of the socially necessary labour going into the making of Matt Lowton (Copyright K. Marx). You are talking about price![]()
No i'm not. Price is the measure of how much the seller thinks the object is worth. Value only = Price when the sellers and buyers opinions of the value are the same.

If you insist on bringing Marx into it, then i'm specifically talking about 'Exchange Value' ,but i think you can shove your dog-eared copy of Das kapital up your bum![]()

If you're original statement had been, "how much do you think we should price Lowton at to scare other clubs off - i think 2m" then that would make sense.

My question was what would YOU value Lowton at. I'd value him at 2 million,
