Apparently Huddersfield fans say he's a snake.

Any idea why?

I think he left after the owners told him they were gonna sell all the best players Obrien/toffalo and not sign anyone

Similar to the wilder sitaution IMO

That's pretty much the reason Spackman packed in with United.

A bit OTT from Hudds if that's all.

I don't recall Spackman ever been considered a snake for leaving.

It's also not as if he sneaked off to their rivals. He was out of work for a bit and then took a job overseas which didn't work out.

He's now got a job which he was fully entitled to go for.

Not clear what is underhand in any of that.

Then again, very few seem to be able to advise why Bettis is a snake!

The ‘best squad in the league’ has been decimated by injuries.

Excuse? Yes.
Valid excuse? Also yes.

Decimated by injurires not true that though is it , We have a lot of injuries

But if you look at the actual starting 11 of the last few games only really Berge/Lowe would be 100% definite starters IMO

So yes we have lost a few of our main players but name me one club who doesn't have injuries

Its an easy excuse for the manager

I would add that the current squad without the injured players should have picked up far more points in the last 6 games so not really a valid excuse…

It’s a valid excuse for not averaging promotion form granted.

But not a value excuse to the current points return over last 6 games.

Corberan took a team favorites for relegation to the play off final he has also worked with Bielsa @ Leeds

Hecky has the best squad in the league :D

Ok I'll bite...

"Similar to the Wilder situation" - when did we sell all our best players under Wilder?
"Best squad in the league" - How would we have the best squad in the league if we sold all our players?

You know perfectly well that we have lost a huge amount of key players to injury.

We have consistently been forced to play people out of position to cover gaps and as recently as 8th October, Gordon started against Stoke and Arblaster & Sachdev came on as subs.

A squad is only as good as what the manger gets out of them.I doubt they have enough consistency to be the "best squad in the league".

I dont get this with injuries, how does a lot of injuries make those actually playing make stupid mistakes, give away daft goals and generally not be able to win winnable home games and lose to moderate teams away. The players put out should be doing much better recently than they are, they dont have injuries as an excuse because they are fit and playing

Norwich midfield with Sargent; Cantwell is better than ours. Pukki is superb for them.
Blackpool strikers are arguably better than ours.
QPR probably have a better goalie and defence.

Our squad is massively weaker in not having Clark; RND; Berge; Bogle and Lowe. They are all probably automatic starters. Without those playing you are looking at Osborn/Sharp/Fleck/Bash starting etc who wouldnt get games for many other championship sides.

We have a good 'side' when everyone is fit and quite a weak 'squad' - I think this is where Hecki falls down - our squad players are not good enough to sustain auto promotion

We haven't recruited well enough then to have a strong enough squad where injured players can be replaced with capable players to step in and get positive results against mediocre teams.

Absolutely spot on,the squad is a mid table maybe a bit higher.

It means those that are playing are not as good as those that are injured so therefore more likely to make mistakes and be ‘generally not able to win winnable home games’

Recruiting an injured CB and small boy on loan and using 2 loan spaces for that was poor recruitment.

Still no DCM after years of not having one - poor recruitment
Not recruiting a beast of a CB and letting Lopata go - poor transfer dealing.
Not recruiting a back up target man to McBurnie. Poor dealing.
Juries still out on Khadra but probably a waste of a loan so far.

There is holes all over the place in our transfer dealing if you look.

So we haven't recruited well enough to have players who can step in and get us through a bunch of winnable home games against moderate opponents.

And this is in a season of lower quality teams in this division, half decent squads would put good runs together and be dominating games most weeks, this season is an opportunity to get out to the Prem with nothing flash, just solid teamwork and cut out the mistakes and gifts, grind out results week on week.

When did our supporter base become so entitled that if we don't win every game even when faced with an injury crisis, they call for the manager's head and slag off individual players who are just back from injury or playing out of position (or both)?

N.B. Not saying you are guilty of the latter point, but just look at the vile comments on Shoutbox during a game to see how entitled those arm chair Blades are.

Calm down Karen! You wouldn't believe how 'vile' some of the comments are on the terraces at actual football matches!
I take it you are another anti-blade, entitled so called supporter.

I'm well aware of what people say at games, as I have been watching the blades in the flesh since the days we actually did stand on 'terraces'.
