The guy has been a great servant for us but my god, his footballing ability since the end of last season has dropped off a cliff.

It seems like every game he plays, there's a lapse in concentration or a mistake that leads to a goal. He was ok for 85 minutes then falls into the Coventry player like a sack of spuds.

Surely he cant keep his place after another mistake that's lost us points and if he does, the manager is culpable for keeping a liability in the team.

Sorry Bash but you've reached the end of the road.

Get a grip, playing a 34 Yr old defender on his wrong side for 85 mins because we have absolutely no one else, he gets tired and puts in a stupid challenge and it cost us. But not as much as not creating anything meaningful for 90 minutes against a poor Coventry side

As a stand in LCB - for sure. Showed up badly for the pen with a wrong foot challenge straight across the lads body.

Poor decision from the player.

Any even poorer one from the gaffer playing him there ???

UTB

If me and you are agreeing summats really off.

The warning signs were there last weekend, shipping 3 goals at home and him being nowhere in frame on any of the goals.

Maybe Robinson just wasn't quite there yet but it's sad to see this.

I can't say we deserved to lose. Hit the post and crossbar and they only scored with a pen.

But there was no urgency and there was nothing from the touchline to suggest we were going to push for the win.

Why not get Khadra or Brewster running at the defence second half when half their defence were on bookings?

I just don't get it.

To be fair the first one was a nailed on penalty as well which ref didn't give so it could have been worse

You just knew it was about to happen when they were running alongside each other too. I thought he would've at least tried to disguise it mind. What was he thinking?

Who else could he have played at LCB?

It's just a month ago that he made a terrific tackle in a similar situation, following which we launched an attack and got a last minute winner.

Today's was obviously unnecessary and badly timed. He'll hold his hand up. Otherwise he played well tonight, so it's a shame.

Hecky was happy with the point, he wasn't brave enough to go for 3 when they were there for the taking

Absolutely inexcusable from Heckingbottom when we can use 5 subs, only use 3 and leave our main attacking threats warming the bench when we were starting to turn up the heat.

Robinson has to come in, it's his position that Basham was attempting to play in.

It can't get much worse in terms of current form, particularly against teams we ought to be beating but its the usual Sheffield United self sabotage that we're all so accustomed to but live in hope of one day overcoming.

Bash has been poor since he returned from injury at the 2nd half of last season.

At first people said he was just rusty but he's costing us more goals than preventing and that's regardless of playing on the right or the left.

(remember how poorly he was playing on the right before hecky switched him to the left at halftime and people actually said he was playing slightly better on the left)

Regardless he shouldn't be a starter anymore and is a bench player from now on at best.

Wingers have never been known to have a bad game followed by a good one, that's why Khadra didn't come on

He got done in the first half similar to that, I think it was for the near post shot that Davies saved, I thought he could have got a block in.. .love Bash but he has made some bad decisions of late, but he is playing on the wrong side tbf.

Most wingers are inconsistent to be fair because a fair part of their game involves taking risks and potentially losing the ball. With a few defenders on yellows, taking off McBurnie for someone tricky and shoving N'Diaye further forward wouldn't have been the worst option.

Better still, leave both McBurnie and Ndiaye on and give them more help with an attacking option of Brewster. But no, against a poor bottom of the league Coventry we bring on the very pedestrian John Fleck, just so we can try and protect a 0-0.

He’s been great and I love the guy but he’s a pro whose made a living with limited ability but has the heart the size of a dustbin lid. My opinion has always been, that if he has been our best player in a game then we have generally been wank…time to go Chris, but you have been the ultimate servant to our club….

Been written off before. Give him a break. Was playing on his wrong side of the pitch, had no defensive midfield cover after RND was subbed. Bad mistake, yes and he knows it.
But he ain’t finished yet.

This reply defies belief. He was written off previously years ago when he was in his physical prime. He's not in his prime anymore. He has been awful for 6 months and I mean goal costing awful in most games. We havent had an overlapping forward run out of him since last season. That was his main strength - not his defensive solidity. There is no way back from this. He is not going to mysteriously regain pace or strength at his age. He is finished at this level at centre back. But we crazily gave him a 2 year contract.
