One for the 70s Blades who saw TC in the flesh …

Who is better? TC in his pomp or Ndiaye so far this season?

Are they even comparable or completely different players?

Just to clarify before anyone points out, we’re talking on a purely technical basis, not in terms of stature or success as there’s no comparison, but maybe one day we will see Ndiaye eclipse TC’s achievements

It's very premature to compare him to someone most Blades fans of a certain generation consider a god.
this is why i clarified on a purely technical level rather than achievements, let’s say it was TC vs Ndiaye on the training ground, who’d come out on top?

Totally different type players, ndiaye is a better dribbler as that wasnt tc’s strong suit, but tc could go past people like a true rolls royce, his range of passing was outstanding and had a good shot, this is like comparing apples with oranges, both are good but there is no reasonable comparisson
Sounds like an Berge/Norwood/Ndiaye hybrid!!

Ndiaye is nowhere near the finished article.

In so many ways it's impossible, even unhelpful, to compare TC and IN.
We currently have a young player who is showing us glimpes of his undoubted talent, and like many Blades it seems that there's so much more to come. Given time, quality coaching and advice, then who knows what Ndiaye can become? He certainly appears to have the potential to excel, but as we've seen far too often how many talented youngsters show this type of promise only to hit a brick wall and never go beyond what we had hoped they'd be able to achieve.

Currie had a similar journey to Ndiaye. Beginning his career at Watford, TC moved onto the Blades and it was at Bramall Lane that he developed into a masterful player, someone capable of taking a game by the scruff of the neck and dominating the opposition. Sadly, as with almost every talented player we've had TC moved to what was then a club with greater potential (you have no idea how difficult it is to write this!) from where he continued to show his considerable talent. Players like TC are mavericks who are expected to fit into a pattern that suits the whole team, but the reality is that they need the freedom to exploit those parts of a game that are there to be used for our benefit. A wonderful player, they broke the mold when TC hung up his boots. When football is referred to as entertainment it is TC that comes to mind, along with the great George Best and several other great players.

Ndiaye could become a great player, but first he must apply his life to the things that will contribute towards this. If he can ignore the hanger-ons that are bound to gravitate, if he can push himself to levels that he currently suggests is possible, if he can avoid serious injury, only then will this talented young player fulfill his potential and show the world the wonderful talent that is clearly there.

As already suggested on here, Sander's style is more suited to comparing with TC. I love Sander Berge, and hope that eventually he develops to being THAT good, but he's a long way to go yet. When an ex-Wednesday striker (who came up against Bobby Charlton, George Best and Co) says that TC is the best he's ever played with or against, then you know the sort of level you're talking about.

Currie would drft past defenders and blow kisses to the crowd whilst doing so.
I think Sander Berge and Currie are a better comparison. They are/were both tall elegant players would can glide past players with so much ease. N’diaye has a lower centre of gravity and has great ball retention skills, but he’s also a little ratter who’s contribution off the ball is such a valuable asset to the team.

If Berge could play the forty yard pass like Currie, then we would have a comparison. Even Norwood doesn’t have the passing range of Currie.

If he stays here for 8 or 9 years, he'd obviously be nowhere near as good.

If he's gone next season, Possibly

Whenever I see old clips I just think the game is so much quicker than before. Obviously better pitches and different rules/reffing standards help as well as all the sports science and data used today compared to the past.

Argentine, totally.agree. in fact Berge is a much more similar player to T.C. but not as good

TC is light years ahead on the football brain front he saw things 3 games ahead of anybody else let alone seconds. Skill wise not a lot between them

Let's see if ndiaye fucks off to Leeds at the first chance before we put him in that bracket
