I can't see how we'd get a deal done for Kone unless we've been at it for days or even longer, but maybe we can do the medical with the club in Canada on our behalf or something similar. I can just see us signing a loan player I've never heard of from Aston Villa though, not like this lad Kone who I know all about! 😂

Wow, if you'd told me this morning Berge would be off and we'd be signing this lad Ismael Kone from Montreal I'd have thought you were mad, or playing too much Championship Manager! Disappointed to lose Berge but the lad Kone seems very promising. It's whether he can hit the ground running that is the immediate issue but clearly Kone is a player of quality, hence the interest from Norwich earlier this season.

It might mean Berge is off, yes. But Hecky said yesterday that he wanted another midfielder in regardless as cover for Fleck's injury. So it might not say anything about Berge.

The board will make a profit on Anel, they will know the level of interest and likely fee for Berge and will be confident of making money on kone.
Go up and keep all three
Stay down and Berge goes to be replaced by Kone.
Anel is potential big money in the bank

I like what I see from 2 minutes on YouTube, get him in. Fuck Berge.
I've seen the highlights, he looks good but he's very inexperienced, unlike Berge. Berge was 22 when he arrived and had played in the Champions League and still took 1.5 years to find his feet with us, if Kone is to be a regular then he will have to adapt quickly for us to mitigate the loss of Sander leaving.
