As far as I’m concerned that statement is a summary of McBurnies career at Bramall Lane.

Hopefully, as that statement suggests, they’ve had a discussion and McBurnie is going to address his off field distractions, get himself fit and repay some of that &30m

Damn, that was so close to happening. McB was burning towards the exit when he scored, until Baldock grabbed him round the neck and everyone piled on and pushed him into the supporters. You could see a steward screaming into a walkie-talkie "GET THAT F***ING STEAMROLLER AWAY FROM HERE!" - or he might have been saying "Gentlemen on the pitch. McBurnie has scored and now we have gentlemen on the pitch". I'm not sure, my lip-reading skills took quite a hit when I went blind.

I took that as he has been doing those things right which is why he didn't doubt him. Apart from injuries and illness I don't think there has been any indication mcburnie didn't out the effort in the gym or in training.

Agree. Fine margins. That goal he scored last night could have easily been saved by the keeper, and then look back to last weekend when he could have easily had an hatrick, but they were all just kept out..... fine margins.

His overall effort and contribution for the last 3 games cannot be faulted at all. A deffo starter for the Reading game.

He had a torrid time of it from their defenders last night too. Burke was the dirtiest of the lot. Oli did well and held his own and gave some back.
