Am I Being Cynical ?

Can't say I've ever been one of his fans. I won't say I'm his biggest critic either, if we get some cash for him then he can go for me.

That's not to take anything away from his last two appearances mind which have been positive and much better, I think I've just lost faith in him. Despite what we think here we are considered to be and should be one of the teams going for autos and at the very least we should expect playoffs again and I'm just not sure I like the idea of bringing McB on even for the last 20 minutes in a tight game if he's not in the mood to put in a good performance.

I'm 100% open and hoping to be wrong, I've no issues if he ends up coming good for us, he's obviously capable.
That sums it up for me to ,I have slagged him off on a number of occasions but I would be the first to give him a pat on the back if he came good. But I feel he has had chance after chance and failed to deliver . So I would not be to upset if he went but I would be delighted if he stayed and proved me wrong but I am not holding my breath.

Cynical view is that he is putting in performances now because he knows he is off at the end of the season or maybe before.

I could be wrong and he is playing to stay but we have seen this sort of thing from players at other clubs. 🤷‍♂️

If he went elsewhere and knocked in 20 goals it would serve some of you lot right. The treatment he has had from Sheffield United fans has been both shameful and embarrassing far worse than our other record signings (at the time) Brewster and Berge received.
I don’t abuse him but it really wouldn’t serve us right. Well, those who booed him coming on maybe.

He’s not had the adulation most strikers get because he’s been well below the level we should expect. He’s admitted that much himself. He’s looked unfit and clearly doesn’t take football seriously enough. Running around barging into centre halves and getting booked doesn’t change that.

It’s up to him to prove himself and the fans will come round if he does. But he is one of those players who owes us quite frankly. As opposed to Norwood and Fleck, who also get a lot of stick and owe us nothing.

Norwood owes me a fiver actually - tight git.
