There was some swapping and changing of loyalty numbers on the South Stand yesterday... I can tell thee.

Thanks to the lovely couple who sit in front letting us use their son's number (thanks again D & D!), all our lot can get tickets on Wednesday but we're not in the bloody country that day! Won't be able to rest easy until we get the text saying tickets are in hand.

Been told there could well be plenty more on offer once Exeter's relegation is confirmed. We may get at least 2 sides

Slightly misleading and panic-inducing for United to stress the "no more available" angle then. Just had a neb at the online ticket system for Exeter and only tickets in the Bank are available... does anyone know if this means the two ends have sold out? Just taken off the online system to stop us accessing them? Or withdrawing blocks from sale in order to give us more?

Ay up Boo :)

Doesn't look likely that we'll officially be given more then if that's the case, as there won't be any left to give.

Think we're going for standing in the away terrace.

I'm working down there on tue/wed I will call in to there ticket office and ask some questions.
I There was only front row in flybe for four near big bank. she did not have any pairs that were near each other. although there may have been a good few pairs left in the flybe but by wed i would not expect much?

Highly unlikely I'll be going to the game as its just going to cost too much money.

I will try to get a ticket though so if I do manage to get one, there'll be one available for whoever is nicest to me!! :p

I've got just under 20,000 points though so I don't fancy my chances much.

For some reason it won't let me edit my above post?

Anyway, I've got 19,940 points so JUST short of being able to try and get a ticket 24 hours earlier.

EDIT - Yet it will let me edit this one?!

There's now a short time window in which to edit your posts. 4 minutes i think.

Now there is talk of Exeter giving extra tickets or even a stand when they get relegated. But the tickets have gone on sale and have all been snapped up by United fans! There are now only tickets left in one stand. And I am getting grief on another thread saying that Exeter City FC have not handled this well!?

Unless of course Exeter have taken the others off sale to cover this eventuality...

Well Exeter did apparently tell the external company selling the tickets not to accept any orders from addresses in the north, but the company took not one blind bit of notice. Had they have done what Exeter had said, then there would not have been this situation and until the tickets are in hand, the Exeter fans for the day shouldn't be counting their chickens... there's talk on their forums of orders being cancelled.

Correct. It is clearly stated in the terms that orders can be cancelled if they suspect Blades fans

Because Exeter haven`t told them???

Aye... where exactly has the "news" that we'd get extra tickets come from?

Because United say that no more tickets will be available. And the Exeter OS doesn't suggest in the slightest that they'd inconvenience any more of their fans to give us more tickets.

Is it just a hopeful rumour that other hopeful people are choosing to take as gospel?

From what I can tell its a hopeful rumour, nothing more.

Mine has come from someone I trust. Cant tell you exactly as I dont want to drop them in it. Been speaking to an Exeter fan this morning and he has said the club are expecting to be relegated. Think you will find out for certain a week today

There are loopholes in the system regardless. The only way of stopping United fans from getting tickets in the home end is to not allow/cancel all orders for anyone not on the database pre announcement (e.g. anyone who has not bought a ticket before 1st of March). None 'Exeter fans for the day' not on the system (not that I can imagine any new City fans emerging for the final 2 games of the season after a god awful season ..... unless they really have 'only come to see United') could easily get tickets by speaking directly to the club, organising with mates etc.

I think my point that Exeter have not handled this very well is a very valid one. Some decisive action was needed and they ummed and arred and then eventually made a poor decision. A decisive decision that was not 'pragmatic' in my eyes would have even been better than keeping us waiting anf then saying no. That way we could have enquired about beem back, rallied for a real ale tent, made sure some pub in town was showing it, tapped up one of the houses near the ground or whatever. Instead Exeter have dallied and are left with aright old mess on their hands. And here is Olle saying 'I told you so' (again).

I am actually still concerned. I am a United fan it will be spotted a mile off (even though they wear red and white). My point is that we should no be in this situation.

Lets give you Blades fans the facts. You have been given the away terrace and 1 Block of the old grandstand + 2 Blocks of the Flybe stand. You won't be getting anymore, so thats roughly about 1400 spaces (not enough i'm sure, but we're not interested in how big you are to us, nobody has our home terrace, not even Man Utd in the FA cup 2005). To correct an earlier poster, buying something from the club shop doesn't get you on the database. The database contains home fans who have purchased tickets in the past and who are known to the club, you might know people in Exeter who have been to SJP and purchased tickets in the past, thats your only way into the home areas.

Amazingly this isn't our first game against a "big" club, and we've managed everytime before, so you might be surprised that we can cope with your presence on the final day. Oh and don't come down with the "Jonny Big Time" attitude like your neighbours, they've returned to the north pointless on both occasions in the last two seasons.....

Hopefully we still have something to play for on the day and its a humdinger, safe journey to the millions coming to the sunshine ;)

You've missed some of this thread as we had a server issue mid-week losing a large number of posts, there was a bit more of me sticking up for your club and it's fans.

We aren't like our neighbors, no one else has such delusions as they.

So... being a local, where should we drink from Friday to Monday?

Plenty of big pubs in city centre, two large Weatherspoons, largest near railway station. Pre match try Well st. Tavern, just down from the away end.
Sorry to come across angry, just want to give the facts. See you May. 5th

To ecfc: hopefully we'll have a good day. We're not like our neighbours. That is a fact. On here we appreciate any info rep where to go on the day and I hope we can all mix together. I think you might be down but wish you well for all games apart from against us. If it makes you feel any better, if we win it'll fuck Wendy up.

Bring back ECFC Shawn. At least he looked before he leapt. He gave some valuable in site and realised we are nothing like the wendies. Or that other bag of shite that you had trouble with the other year from west yorkshire.
We also know that your club will not be giving more away allocation.
The guy in your ticket office summed it all up (you know the chap with the long grey hair in where it says reception). Some Blades fans have been bragging about the fact they managed to get tickets through your outside agency. The police dont like that and are going to charge ECFC more for policing due to this fact. ECFC are trying to get some refunded and tightened the loophole up on Monday.
There will be no ticket sales to anyone not on the database. That means that if we accept that you might get a crowd of 4300 and add the 1700 we will bring then there will be 2300 empty places. Although you can expect to see many Blades dotted in your home areas.
Its good to see your club doing so well financially that the extra income will not be needed it gives everyone in football hope and a potential good business model to follow.
We have no complaints you've more that fulfilled your obligations to us.
