managed to convince the company that I need to take a training course in that there London for 5 days the week leading up to the Exeter game.

That means i'll fly back, watch Stevenage at home, travel down to London for the course and then head down to Exeter on the Friday night, then back to Swiss on the Sunday

I really like my company :)

Now all I need are the tickets!

We're heading down to Exeter on Friday, three nights there for what will hopefully be a happy weekend :)

I'm hoping to go down with the family for the weekend. Trouble is we all dont have enough loyalty for tickets and I'm sure if we're up that loads of Blades will want to go. What would we get (the club) in the amount of tickets?

'ning!

According to Football Ground Guide, the usual away allocation is only just over 1200 in one of the ends (with a few seated at the side).

If it's a nothing game for Exeter, they may oblige us with another stand I suppose, if they can see some money in it, but the ground only holds just over 8k.

Hi Linz,
Thanks, Yes I hope it is something like that. Fancy dress and a full side like Palace would be nice.
PS where you been?

Foxy's had me locked in the cellar cleaning the skiddies out of his pants for the last six months.

(Between decorating, housework and doing two jobs, I haven't had much forum time... I have been a casual observer however)

Is the nursery ready yet?:D

Nice to see you back.

The last game will be the one before 20.12.2012
It will be the last game ever

A mate of mine (a Blade) is having his stag do down there that weekend and, as luck would have it, an old uni mate lives there and goes regularly.

Same worries here too. Have already booked a hotel for 3 nights, so just waiting to see if I have enough loyalty points. Have got 20,000 but notice number needed has increased to 22,000+ for Hartlepool away. Hope Exeter isn't as high as that.

Planning to go to this one too.Well I will be in Exeter for the party any road. No chance I'll get a ticket in the Blades end. Did a bit of research recently and (like Linz says) the away end usually only holds 1200. Even if they were to give us an extra stand it will not fit everyone. The ground only hiolds 8k, but their average attendence is 4.5k. Based on that, they could potentially give us another stand. But even if they were to give us 3/4k, I think they'd sell out easily. I can see this being a big (Palace-esque .... but hopefully with a better outcome) party, where the Blades take over a shit town.

Of course, any random person that has bought something from Exeter football club will be on their database and el;igible to buy a ticket in the home end. Just a random thought ........

Whether I get a ticket or not I'll be heading down to Cornwall for this weekend for some scuba diving, might stop off for the game/beers on the way.

i have told my contact down there they really need to give us more tickets. He has passed it to the club

The club are already very aware.

However, there is being aware, and being able to do something about it.

Is there a way to get tickets early for this game, through some sort of independent source?

Don't know about that, but a previous poster's idea (think it was Ollie) of buying something from the Exeter club shop to get on their database sounds a good idea. They do a pack of stickers for £1 and I think they could be selling a fair few of those in the coming weeks.

If Exeter are already down when we play them (looking highly likely on current form and the league table) presumably that will mean there is more chance of United getting an extra stand .....

A scenario that would be ideal imo especially if Wycombe can stay up or aren't safe. It would be nice if Yeovil got sucked in to.

I have a hotel booked too but haven't enough loyalty points either. Will have to check with some season ticket holders back in Sheffield but even they may not have enough. Exeter end might be beckoning if I can buy something off their website...

Well all booked for 4 of us who have no chance of tickets under normal circumstances.

I'll probably be in the home end. Starting to resign myself to that, but would love it if they gave us two stands. JD raised a good idea (albeit tongue in cheek) of some sort of beam back into Exeter and a real ale tent. Now that sounds like a plan. Wonder what the chances of getting someone to put that on are, if they decide to give us the normal 1200 tickets.

Big screen in Exeter sounds great. If the city want to make itself attractive to possible revisits, then they should welcome us.

It was my idea actually, but if loads of people from Sheffield suddenly show a sudden interest in Exeter memorabilia I think they may smell a rat....

Their online ticketing is done via a 3rd party and unlike ours does not ask for a customer number so unless they change their normal selling methods I suspect a sell-out.
