There is the possibility of breaking a number of club records before the end of the season:

If we win all 5 remaining game, we will have 97 points, thus breaking our previous highest points record (96) and also will have won 9 games in a row, beating the previous record number of consecutive wins (8).

Also, we only need to win 3 of our remaining 5 games to have 28 wins in the season, beating the previous record of 27. Winning both remaining home games will set a new record number of home wins in a season (17) and winning all 3 away games will be a record number of away wins in a season (13)

On a less happy note, if we don't get automatic and fail in the play offs, the points we have now would be a record total without getting promoted

Fingers crossed (except for the last one)....

If we win every match 5-0 we'll also beat our record of 102 league goals in 1926.

:D

Come come Dazza, a few days ago it were acake walk!!;)

To be serious are you surprised Wednesday haven't dropped any points yet under Jones except Walsall?

Talking of records, Ched has scored in 6 consecutive matches now. What is the Blades record?

The post war record is Edwards' 8 in 76-77, but I think the overall record is 10 or 11 by Jimmy Dunne in the 30's.

7consecutive now...

Yes. The actual record is 12 by Dunne in 31-32 so he won't beat that this season.

We have no equalled two club records: 27 wins in a season and 16 home wins. If we win next week we will create a new record for wins in a season and equal the record number of away wins (12)
