Warnock came on the Sky commentary for the first 20 munutes. Told us that he was offered the Sunderland job once. And Chelsea. Commentated on the view from the gantry. "I've never been up here before. It's a great view". Spoke about the hospitality, praised the food and the white wine he was given. Then he fucked off.

"That's the easiest five grand he'll ever make" said the Sky comm after NW had gone.

How many players did he try to sign or jobs he regrets taking 😂😂 I still love the guy but my god surprised he didn't try signing shearer,he said he tried to sign Stewart for boro he's a big donkey

He appeared on sky commentary for 15-20 minutes, managed to mention that he turned down Chelsea job and Sunderland job , that he wanted to sign Stewart for Boro , and generally made the cameo all about him

Well they didn’t have him on to talk about Lee Hendrie‘s career did they..

Would anyone have Warnock back if the chance came along ?
If you asked me this time last season under slav I'd have said yes but hecky deserves a full season, warnock kinda slipped up though the commentator said are you retired for good or a fury retirement and he said a fury retirement unless I'm getting it wrong doesn't tbst mean come out of retirement? He was so far up sunluns arses though

i didn't hear the boos where i was so had thought it was nice that warnock got the reception he did at HT. as some of favourite moments supporting utd came under him. & under his reign was when the modern blades were made. as he said attendance 8,000 to 25/30,000

Yeah, he did make that claim. The attendances were very low, not sure if it was all down to him though. Knew he would mention Brown though! Used to give him sweets didn’t he to get him motivated?!

From South stand gangway f I heard a small minority.

I see he's gone back to being Mr Superduper Mega Blade just in time for his farewell tour. Never let it be said that this lad doesn't know showbusiness.

The rubes will certainly lap it up, and we have plenty of those knocking around....

Actually he's just doing a tour of most his old clubs to plug his speaking tour. Was at Scarborough the other night. Not claiming to be a super blade whatsoever

Well he obviously wouldn't when he's in Scarborough. He plays to whoever his audience is at the time, like all good actors.

I heard a few boos too. I clapped politely. I generally do. He was clearly flogging tickets for the City Hall.

I enjoyed the Warnock years and the intensity of the football we played. 2003 was an unforgettable year.

I didn't like how he used insider knowledge to pinch Paddy Kenny for a song after the club had stood by him. Nor Paddy Kenny for doing it. Bored with the "Last big club" stuff too.

He's a character though, and football needs characters.

He managed to plug to speaking tour on Sky too.

He also said it was the first time he'd been back at the Lane since he was the manager, apart from when he was in charge of other clubs. I found that hard to believe, though he had a very frosty relationship with McCabe after 2007.

i would say during his reign, because as mentioned when discussing wednesday & united. mccabe keeping prices low & getting the next generation in.
but he is abit loose with the truth as his 1st 2 games but they had 10,800 & 10,400, which are considered poor when we get them for the FA cup games now. & within 2 1/2 yrs attendance had increased by 40% back to where we were in the 1st season of the premier league. 2004 we got back up to 20,000 bar the 1st 3 League 1 seasons, we havent dropped below it since

Kenny said in his interview with Under The Cosh that McCabe said he was free to leave. If it wasn’t Warnock then it would have been another club that triggered his release free.

He didn't even come across as a blade to me which was disappointing the amount of jizz he produced about Sunderland was unreal saying that was one of his regrets not joining Sunderland,i still love him he gave me my best memories as a blade that triple assault season was unreal

McCabe pushed Kenny out the door to save a few quid on wages.

We got the great Steve Simonsen in as a replacement because he was cheap and free.
