Best I've seen him play in a while to be fair, why he doesn't just belt the first chance is beyond me tho, 8 yards out, loads of time, smash the ball and there's a 90% chance you score

Good effort with the 2nd drew a great save from Sunderlands keeper who was excellent all night

🤣🤣 two reasonable attempts, both missed, nearly cost us a goal and a stupid booking.....again. better than usual, but still a liability imo. Not a moaner, but really not a £20 million asset to the team.
don't think blocking the keeper was a stupid booking at all, his distribution was excellent.

I would argue his booking was intentional. He immediately laughed about it and stopped a potentially quick break against us.

Like I've said on another thread, I hope his new role isn't to come on for the last 10 and just shithouse, simply because I think he is better than that.

Not getting carried away but tonight was a little glimpse of a mcburnie we should see more.
Made himself a handful, got on the end of balls he nearly shouldn't do and nearly scored. He looked a bit like the mcburnie of Swansea 3 years ago. Nearly. Certainly should be no moans from tonight's performance.

How did he nearly cost us a goal ? Also, he took one for the team with the booking as they were looking to. Reak.
Not a moaner ? If you say so

Not a fan of the mocking chants towards him.
100% agree. It’s not bad emough we are the cursed Blades, coping with injuries and ref decisions but now our supporters are sledging our own player back 15 min from longterm injury . All very hilarious for those involved and farcically, pathetically, self defeating. Leave it until the match is over you daft twats.

No idea what all of that means. Oliver McBurnie found himself with a man six yards out, and left him stood all alone to score a goal. If you can't see that was the wrong decision then I don't know what else to say.

Your statement that players don’t mark the same opposition player at each set piece?

You’ve probably said too much already.

I'm struggling to think of a player I've ever wanted to succeed more tbh

Now that's the Oli McBurnie what terrorised Championship defences for Swansea anyone moaning about him tonight is no Blade.

Looked a threat, was winding their lot up, did a shithouse foul. You'll do for me you big streak of piss. Now just gerra bluddeh goyal

Played well tonight. Well done Oli.
First shot was stuck under his feet. In hindsight should have took another touch then hit it but clearly just wanted to get a shot away.

Second attempt was a good one which the keeper got down to really well.
Also very close to getting on the end of a cross from the left (think it was from Lowe) by making the correct run at the right time which he's been guilty of not doing previously.
Definite signs of improvement, hopefully that'll keep happening if he can actually stay fit.

I was at a wedding that day (not mine) and had the commentary on the radio in one earphone during the service. It was hard to hear it properly but I remember hearing Deano ‘scoring’ and telling my dad that we’d won.
You musta bin double disappointed to hear the truth cos of the opponents like?
