So where is he going then?
Would you like to set them out, explain why you think that way and suggest some solutions ?I’m surprised its taken this long. His managerial weaknesses were evident last season in a number of games.
Anyone coming into this season expecting anything different is deluded.

Boro changed shape, took off a forward, put on a midfielder, and within about 5 minutes had gone from level at 1-1 to 2-1 down. 5 minutes later they’d put a forward on again in place of a right back. Hecky then put on a tall centre forward (possibly to help defend set pieces) and they managed to get back to 2-2 from a poorly defended set piece.Boro changed shape and put an extra midfielder on to compound their advantage there. Great management .The move was to go four at the back and match them - we didn't do it. Everyone knows the middle of the park is a huge weakness for us except seemingly our manager ( maybe Doyle is his
solution?).
We are a moments team: we rely purely on the individual quality of our forward players and backline. We dont win a tackle or race in the middle. We are a footballing jellyfish. Or a biscuit with no middle in it.
On the bottler tag. What generally happens with caretakers is they inherit a shitshow - the only way is up. They then improve things as any competent person could. They play open, expansive attacking stuff whilst doing that. The players love them and there's a buzz. They then inherit the job and are in a new position - everything is there fault: the good, the bad. The psychology has completely changed and thus they resort to negative, ultra cautious stuff.
Kevin Blackwell was a great example.

I don’t think Boro’s changes were all that effective in comparison to ours.
I wouldn’t have put Mcburnie on to hold onto the 2-1 lead: I don’t hate him; I do think he gives possession away with regular fouls at every challenge (when he is trying too hard to ‘put himself about’ and win the ball). However, he does usually contribute effectively to winning defensive headers and clearing opposition set-pieces, so at 2-1 up with 10 minutes to go, I can see why Hecky would select him to go on. I wouldn’t have sent him on, but I wasn’t berating Hecky for being an incompetent lunatic when I saw him make the change either.
Couldn't agree more my pal said same whilst watching Watford game. Bring in all this attacking talent and leave them all on bench? It does seem like Hecky has found Nigel Clough's away match tactics folder on the computer.
Wtf does "not quite ready" mean ?Khadra, Doyle and McAtee not quite ready, Bash, Bogle, Robinson, Stevens injured. Fucking drama queens on here
Yeah, great sensible and reasoned reply. They’ll be starting in a game or two, just need a bit more time to get accustomed to the way we play then all systems go. We’re 3 games in, chill the fuck outWtf does "not quite ready" mean ?
Utter bollox.
You're telling me in a season where its crucial we get promoted , we've taken loan players who are not ready ? Are we feckin imbeciles ?
Of course they're ready.
McKnob will not be ready if you put him in a microwave till Christmas.
He is just shit.
I never want to see him again.
Any of our 3 loaned mfs would be better than Fleck or McKnob
This team doesn't have sufficient braincells to be able to get ahead and then close a game out, the players are too mentally retarded to make good decisions whilst defending.
I think they completely overan us in the middle of the park, pinned us back and should've won it. He pinpointed the one weakness they had the personnel to exploit. Boro in truth are a pretty poor outfit that we should be beating fairly comfortably imo.
Game we should've won tbh mate at 2-1 swap fleck an ndiaye for a bit more creativity an we would've taken all 3, it's about been brave sometimes he who dares wins. But a point is a good point away from homeYeah, fucking draw away at a team who will probably be up there this season. Diabolical - he should walk!
The best thing that Slav did was to bring in MGW, without him we would have been no where near the playoffs.I’ve explained this on a number of occasions on this forum.
Away from home we are so slow and negative in possession. We have some of the best attacking players in the division but he sets us up away from home in such a way that it completely stifles our flair players. Stoke and Millwall away last season were as bad as anything Slav served up before he was canned.
Its clear we have the ability, because we’ve looked great on the odd occasion when we actually need a result which suggests to me that the manager is purposely choosing to play defensively away from home.
His subs are poor to put it politely, we have no plan B. If a game starts to turn against us he rarely has the ability to change it before the inevitable concession of a goal. We arent aggressive enough to win promotion imo, teams who set up not to lose rarely get promoted from this division and thats exactly what we are.
Norwood 2 assists two goals shite ?Don't think it's end of world but very concerned that we have some very exciting players on the bench whilst he persists with Norwood and Fleck who again were shite
Don't understand how there are so many that just want to have a moan at every opportunity and are seemingly desperate to see Hecky fail.
Last year we climbed the table after a horrendous start and despite an injury crisis got to the playoffs and almost beat the side that ended up getting promoted.
This year we've signed some exciting young players without letting anyone major depart and we've gone loss, win, draw against 3 tough sides.
Since he came in the direction has been nothing but positive.
I think 90% of the league would dream for the way he's been backed this summer so the budget argument is a bit sillycan't understand the need to knock Heckingbottom
He's working with a budget on a par. with Barnstoneworth
And getting blood out of stones
He turned us round from strugglers into contenders in 8 months
He deserves a crack and 4 points from our start against 2 top 8 sides and a prem teamaway is not that shabby
I didn’t see any open attacking football away from home last season only a don’t lose or hang onto what we’ve got approach - then the last three away games the shackles come off we go on the front foot and look like a free flowing team ( especially QPR and more so Forest)Boro changed shape and put an extra midfielder on to compound their advantage there. Great management .The move was to go four at the back and match them - we didn't do it. Same as last season he’s so bloody predictable with his subsWe attacked Middlesbrough (tipped by many to be in the top 6) for most of the game and scored two goals.
I think the criticism is a bit unfair today.
Granted, he wasn't ambitious enough with his subs but hopefully he learns from it.
The teams we're coming up against aren't that good. Go for the jugular.
We went from totally dominant to bringing McBurnie on in case they got some corners.
I think (hope) he's taken a lot from today.
Good gorilla impression.
That match today did not sound as if we set up not to lose. We did score twice and could have had more.I’ve explained this on a number of occasions on this forum.
