Difference is, are you paying £7 for birdseye and asda own brand.
Or are birdseye more expensive?
My point is, people pay more for brand names than they do own brand. And are a lot less fussy with own brand quality as you know you're getting a lesser quality product.
So when united are selling well known Adidas at the same price as lesser known Errea, I personally can see why some folk have problems. The quality difference is actually quite telling.
Who's to say though that if the club had stuck with Adidas the shirts wouldn't have been £65 or £70 this year with how everything has risen in price over the last 12 months? We will never know but it's a valid point regarding comparing the Errea shirts being the same £55 as last year's Adidas ones were so in reality they aren't necessarily charging the same as you would have payed this year for an Adidas shirt (If they had stuck with them)
To relate it to the fish finger scenario last year you would probably have paid the same for the Birds Eye fish fingers as you are now paying for the Asda own brand ones.
